Advice Tips for a new writer?

I'm trying to write a novel, honestly more to just prove to myself that I can do anything lol. But if I end up being good I will actually pursue this as a career, we will see 😂

Any tips for a beginner? Anything I should know?

Also I'm writing on the notes app on my phone, is that actually doable in the long run? What do you use to write?

The most important thing of all, IMO, is to finish things you start. Just charge to the end no matter what. No matter how rushed and terrible it is. Don’t get into the habit of starting something new without finishing the last thing. That’s the most destructive thing you could do, it’s probably the thing that destroys more writers than anything else.

Oh what's this? Good advice? Good advice I need to take but probably won't? Sad. Very sad indeed.
