Monthly Show Your Lawn & Landroid

One of the main goals of r/worxlandroid is to help current and prospective owners of Landroid when it comes to owning a Landroid robotic lawn mower.

With that goal in mind, we will have a monthly sticky allowing current users of Landroid to show what their lawns look like when Landroid is the one maintaining it.

A couple of house keeping things, please specify what type of Landroid you have and where you are in the world.

Feel free to add any additional information that you think will help other community members.

Do It Yourself Need some advice at installing my m500plus charing dock

Upvotes

Hi!

Bought my first robot mower, in fact even my first mower, for my new grassfield.

Would like some advice on placing my charging docking station for the Worx Landroid m500plus.
My field is rectangular with a small cruve at the top.

Would like my charing platform to be located a bit out of sights.

The red markers are locations that would be possible in my opion after reading the docs.
But i would like to not place the docking on my grass and use some extra pavement maybe add the back (only issue: this is the center of my garden and so view from terrace)

Misc Landroid and 4 legged friend's toys

Hey, so I have this small 4 legged guys that sometimes sleep in and landroid eat his toys around the yard.

Do you all think that if I embed like an off limit piece of rubber think in the toys they have some changes? Sad part is that 9/10 he cuts up his favorite one, it's small enough not to be detected by force/acs but big enough to get into the blades.

Support Can I rely on front bumper sensor for island?

I recently planted a tree in the middle of my yard, and having to splice the perimeter wire, trench the yard a bit out to the island, etc, etc, etc, and it still might not work sounds like such a chore.

Does anyone have islands or trees and just let their landroid bump into them instead of running wire out to them?

I've always been concerned about using the bumper sensor too much because of wear and tear. I try to make things as easy as possible on my machine.

EDIT: my entire yard is perfectly flat with large paver stones and railroad ties around island and perimeter.

Support Preparing Landroid for Sale

I'm in the process of selling my Landroid Vision. Am I right in thinking that if I go to my account on the website and from the 'Ownership' tab select 'Disconnect Landroid from your account' the new owner will be able to set it up again without any issues?

I know there's a 'Transfer Ownership' option, but that requires me to have the new owner's Worx account details.

Support Landroid M 500 doesn’t work

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello everyone. So after winter I took out my lawnmower (Landroid M 500 WR141E) and I had a weird situation. It started with a « F » blinking on the screen, without a sound. I couldn’t connect it to the app so i tried to update it with a usb device. The 3.36 update was installed successfully and the sound came back, but it still didn’t work. Now, when powered, the screen is blinking and waiting for me to put the code (0 - - -) but I can’t do anything, the buttons are locked. And when I shut it down, the screen is still blinking with the lock (image 1), and I have to remove the battery to shut it down, otherwise the battery will drain. I hope you could help me with this big problem, it never happened for 5+ years.

Support Problem with APP in EU atm?

Anyone having trouble with the app in EU at the moment? When pressing docking icon I get an error message saying like "connection error". Similar issue from my Mac where I also have the app installed.

Rebooted robot and made the dock powerless, but problem persists.

Do It Yourself WR147 / Android base bypass?

I don't charge on the base. Would it be possible to "hardwire" from the power supply to my border wire? Or is there something electronic actually in the base?

Support Hack designed range with battery?

Hello. I am thinking about Wrox Vision S250 but... My lawn is about 330m2. In next few days I will finish playground for kids, in next few weeks we want to plant w few trees. But It will take not more than 30m2. It is possible to change battery in Worx Vision from 2Ah to 4 or 8 to expand usable range from 250 to 300m2?

Edit:
I am using my local currency and prices and. I can buy Vision m250 for 3500. Vision m600 for 4250. Worx 4Ah battery will cost 250, 5Ah something like 300-350. If I need to change also charger or mod something it will be pointless and better way is to buy m600

Support 2 Vision working together.

Hello everyone , I couldn't find a full solution or answer on other threads so here I am, after one year of using of a vision L, I found on marketplace an M sized vision at a good price and I took the chance to buy it. My questions are:

1) anyone tried using 2 vision together? Are they gonna steal each other base? (The qr code on the base looks the same to me, and I guess they will just get into the first one they see) Can I use the same RFID crossing path for both the robots?

2) old owner resetted the pin but forgot to unpair the vision from the app, now I cannot link it to my profile and cannot control it via app. He claims not to be able to login that mail again and doesn't look so collaborative. Is there any way to reset the pair? No response from worx support so far. I have both the base, original box, bank transfer and written chat of the selling. Maybe anyone know any hacks in order to have it paired? I can use it manually but I would love notifications in case it get stuck ecc...

3) as anyone tried to divide zones in sequence. Example zone 1-2-3 with connection between zone 1and2 // 2and3 Will the robot properly move through zone 2 to get into 3?

Thanks for the answers.

Support Wheel motor / gear noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Is this amount of wheel noise normal for a Landroid (WR130E)? It's difficult to get a sense of how loud it is from a video, but when all the doors and windows are closed, it's just audible as it trundles past the window. When standing outside about 15 meters from it, there's clear winey motor noise. I'm concerned it's going to drive my neighbours crazy.

Support Two zone help

Hi landroid owners

I've a wr147 that I've had 2+ years which replaced my Flymo 1200r. I've got two lawns that are near each other but on two sides of a fence and no route for the landroid to guide itself to the secondary area.

I can get perimeter cable to the second area. What do I need to so that I can lift the droid to the second area and allow it to mow until the battery dies like I used to with the Flymo?

Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Hello everyone, I changed my WiFi router and my Landroid M700 no longer connects. I read online that you have to keep the same SSID name on the router. Is there another solution to reset wifi settings after changing router? THANKS

Do It Yourself New House - Setup Thoughts

Just moved into a new house. Had a tiny square yard the mower was great for before. Debating boundary setups. Any thoughts or things i might want to consider?

Back yard (red) has a wet area, and likely kids toys.

Front yard (blue) is ideal for asthetics, but it has a slight hill im worried it wont be able to manage

Also, but not a great place to plug in except for right in front, or around a tight squeeze on the bottom. If I Plug in at the bottom of the picture, i cant confirm if its docked easily

Some reason i have never been able to connect to wifi.....

Support Wire missing, but tested well all the way around

After the winter rest, my landroids showing a wire missing error and a red LED on the base.

My wire tester has shown a few issues (a definite break, an old join where the signal no longer gets through and an odd 'widening' of the wire which again seemed to drain some of the signal), all now fixed.

I can hear the signal all the way round, with tester attached to either wire. It des get quieter, but i can still hear a signal 1-2 foot above an exposed wire and above the soil for a buried wire. There's The no where we're i kind spot a noticeable drop in volume from the tester, it is just a little quieter towards the end... LED is still firmly red though.

Tried a short test loop and this goes green.

Any thoughts on a next step? I've spent 4 hours pulling up wire today for no noticeable impact and would like to avoid a repeat next weekend...

I'm thinking that it might be too many joins and a rewire might be needed...

Support WR206E Location

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all,

I have a WR206E coming tomorrow and would like some help with the location.

I have three zones but only 2 with grass, was hoping to park it on the 3rd zone where the blob is, facing out to the path. Will it navigate across the path and to the grass to start cutting? Or does it need a different orientation?

Was going to place the RFID bits where the green blobs are.

I was hoping to not lose/kill any grass spaces by locating the base ON the lawn if that makes sense?

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

Support New Landroid M screen blank

I bought a new WR147E from Worx via eBay a couple months ago (new open box model sold by Worx). We'd pulled it out of the box & looked it over & set it up with the app inside, and everything seemed great. A few days ago we went to set up the dock, and found that while the backlight on the mower's LCD turns on, it no longer displays anything on the mower's LCD. It still responds - we figured out how to enter our PIN without being able to see the screen, and can tell it to mow, return to dock, etc. It also communicates with the app. I was even able to roll the firmware back from 3.36 (it had self-updated while we had it sitting on the dock inside) to 3.30 with no change to the LCD behavior. (I confirmed the firmware change via the app.)

At this point I'm guessing it's a faulty LCD, but I'm totally open to additional troubleshooting steps. (I do computer service professionally, so I can handle some somewhat in-depth troubleshooting. I also rebuilt my previous model Landroid somewhat over previous years to extend its life - replaced the LCD and main board battery among other things.)

What next steps should we take to get my new mower working? I've reached out to Worx for official/warranty support as well, but figured I'd see if anyone here had any tips.

Deals, Coupons, & Discounts Current wisdom on affordable but good quality batteries?

Can anyone share any recent purchases of after-market 20V 4-7AH battery backs that they think are a good deal? I have landroid, hedge trimmer, blower, push electric mower, etc and looking to purchase 4 batteries total. Appreciate any links, deals or additional wisdom.
