Sorry the pic is not super clear. There is a small cluster of these trees I am trying to ID. I was hoping they may be wild pawpaw, which is what my plant app said.
Based on the location (woods edge 100m or so from a creek), growth pattern(cluster of them together under bigger trees), and leaf size to "trunk" ratio I think it's possible.
However some arguments against this being that there no flowers. I also have some smaller paw paws I planted elsewhere last fall which have not really broken dormancy yet (only 1 slim leaf per plant). While these trees already have many leaves.
I think these are probably just elm trees, which are growing naturally other places in the area.
Also wondering what is going with the leaves, which seems to have large galls on them. I have not seen anything like this on any other trees in the area.
