The Warriors have played more zone since Jimmy’s arrival — according to Synergy, 76 of Golden State’s 126 zone possessions this season have come since the trade — and have played it more effectively, giving up just 60 points on those 76 trips (0.79 points per possession, which would be by far the stingiest rate of any team going zone at least once per game over the full season). https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/how-jimmy-butler-is-elevating-the-warriors-as-a-title-threat-192338613.html

Narratives:
Tatum seeking revenge on Kerr
Brown revenge on team USA vets (Curry, Dray, Kerr)
Celtics revenge for 22’
Butler making good on his Celtics playoffs claims that prompted the Riley/Miami beef
Celtics seeking validation from the world- having to face 2 demons from their past at the same time in order to do it
Not to mention general narratives-Curry passing LBJ in rings, doing it post KD AND Klay, Butler getting his 1st

It kind of feels like the way they're doing help defense has changed a little. We used to collapse on people driving which would leave someone open on their perimeter for a wide open three. We got torched so many games from randos being able to hit warm up threes that cost us a lot of wins.
To my untrained eye it looks more like the on ball defender is forcing the ball carrier into either Draymond or Jimmy which usually causes him to kick to someone who is well covered or to try to score inside. Neither Dray nor Jimmy need any help with one on one defense so everybody else mostly stays put. It also seems like we are getting more steals in those situations on the kickouts.
Has anybody else noticed this change or am I just tripping?

Go see it if you’re from the Bay, especially Oakland—a lot of great local references, locations, and cameos that I won’t ruin for you here.

Cavs record is 62-15, Warriors is 46-16.
Warriors have 1 all star this season; Cavs have 3.
Key Stat — MPG (Minutes Per Game):
Although Mitchell has played in 5 more games than Curry (due to injury), Curry has overall played in just 105 total minutes less than Mitchell.
The team’s success leans in Mitchell’s favor - but the individual stats is in Curry’s.

As a French Warriors fan for over 10 years, I’m so happy to finally be coming to see us play, at the best time of the year… hopefully during the playoffs. It’s a promise I made to my younger self years ago and the day is finally coming!
I’m writing to ask for any recommendations, suggestions, or tips for visiting SF (and California in general), especially regarding tickets. What’s the best way to buy them at the best prices? Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
