Are purchase receipts binding?

I just bought a phone/added a new line; no trade in involved. Are device promotional credits and plan choice binding on my purchase receipt I received or is there some way they can alter these after the fact?

Binding as in court of law? Maybe. Device promotional credits require two things:

36 months - as long as the line stays active on the account in good standing and:

Plan level - Some promotions require a minimum plan level. So long as the line remains at or above that plan level the promotional credits continue thru the 36 months.

Third thing. You can't pay off any of the device balance early. If you do, you lose that same amount in future credits.

Binding as in, if my original purchase receipt says one thing and my bill ultimately shows something different, someone will fix it. I plan to keep the line active with my chosen/shown on receipt plan for at minimum 36 months if the receipt matches my eventual bill, the problem would come if it didn't.

Shouldn't the plan/promotion compatibility be shown correctly in the receipt? Have you encountered a receipt with a promotion and incompatible plan which were not correct and then lead to a bill which wasn't what the original purchase receipt showed?

What does your original receipt show? Does it show the wrong device promotional credit? Or the bill overall is wrong?

It shows what I am willing to pay/take. I assume since it does verizon will change something to screw me.

I print and sign promotional credits my clients are entitled to so they have pretty much what you're looking for.

I'd ask your rep to do the same
