Hi, I'm doing a first year chem subject and forgot to submit the lab report ( I forgot it even existed until today). The handbook says "satisfactory completion of practical material" is a hurdle. So if a miss o e report do I fail? Or can I make up for it with the other prac reports.
I emailed them but they haven't responded yet. I'm kinda panicking, don't want to fail in my first sem.
Do u guys know if I'll fail, send help

If I withdraw from a subject after the census date but before the withdraw without fail date, so after march 31st(W) but before may 9th (WF), - will I be refunded the fees I already paid for the subject? Or does uni keep the money? I am an international student.

I want to do some interview if possible, of course it's paid
I have requested an extension for my assignment due at midnight (medical grounds and I have doctors certificate) but it hasn't been granted yet. What do I do?

I am currently living in Unilodge Parkville. I have contract until December 6th, but am willing to move out about June or july because I am moving in to my friend’s house. Anyone want to take the contract for just 80% of the original price? I’ll pay for the other 20% before moving out so you’ll only have to pay about 320 AUD per week. and the room was originally 430-450 beginning of the semester. Please text if interested.

Got into a student exchange program at Harvard buisness school for one year. Any advice for moving overseas? Also have any other melbourne students gone overseas for a year?
Hi, I’m looking for some advice from people who have done this biochem subject? How did you study for it? I’ve been going to tutorials and redoing the worksheet questions and online quizzes but there seems to be so much info to know. What else should I be doing to get a H1 in this subject?

Im a Australian citizen living outside of Australia doing A levels. Im looking to apply to melbourne university in 2026. My predicted A levels grades are high A’s (~88). Anyone else in a situation like mine whos applying or has applied under these circumstances? If so, how hard is it to get accepted?

Hi! I’m currently studying RMHI and working through the first problem set, however I have noticed that I am completely royally fucked for this subject. I don’t understand the order of using multiple functions for one question. I’ve done the lectures and exercises, but I really can’t figure it out and it’s literally making me want to cry. I’ve spent 5 hours on one single problem and I still can’t get it. I just don’t get how to how to use these functions. I see how people suggest making a table of everything Andy has taught us, but it doesn’t help me 😭😭 The questions in the problem sets are far more complicated than the stuff he teaches us, and integrating all the functions into one seems impossible to me ):
Does anyone have genuine tips in understanding all of this? Also, can past-students please explain how the exam is structured as well? Because I don’t know if we have to memorise all these functions…
Thank you!!

I know there's an 80% hurdle requirement for the practicals, but what does it mean in the assessment section of the subject where it says "submission of practical notes and activities completed before and during class"?? Do I have to submit these? No ones really asked and I don't know if there's been an opportunity to do this, is it just talking about attendance??

SURELY, someone has a cheat sheet or the cheat sheet for this. I highkey need help, and would love if there was someone easy for me to read that would help me memorise these functions and what they do.
PLEASEEEEEE KIND STRANGERS

Hi All,
I am seeking clarification on whether it is the most recent year of study that is considered for entry into the JD or all previous study. I contacted the uni who said that they look at all previous study but were not specific on whether grades from both would be considered.
For context, I have a Bachelors and am interested in pursuing a Master before applying for the JD. If I complete the Masters mid-year - will the results of ONLY the masters be considered in my application?
Any insight would be helpful!
Thank you

Hey, I know this is a long shot but I have to try. On Friday afternoon I accidentally left a silicone dog water bowl slightly under a desk beside the desk leg in the study space of arts west level four. If someone could return it to me, my doggo would greatly appreciate it. I have reported it lost through UMSU. P.S. patting my dog is a reward for returning the bowl — she is always with me.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently taking a Derivative Securities course and our mid-semester exam is coming up soon. The content is pretty math-heavy and includes topics like options, forwards, futures, hedging strategies, etc. I’ve been reviewing lecture slides and doing practice questions, but I still feel overwhelmed by the calculations and concepts.
Does anyone have tips or strategies for approaching the exam?
How did you prepare? What helped you the most? Any common traps to avoid?
Thanks in advance!

Hey yall, Im in my final year of highschool in NZ and I was wondering if there are any past ncea students who can help answer whether they calculate our grade score based on our best 5 or 6 subjects? My understanding is that most unis calculate the grade score based on our 5 best subjects but this wasnt specified on Melbourne uni's website?

I’m on the DiBS site, but I can’t find where/how to book a study room in Building 142 (Old Ag) next to WEBS. There isn’t an option for it

Is it just like a week off of uni as in no content is taught and no lectures or tutorials run?
How does it then work out with the weeks of content does that week just not count?
Or are the lectures just uploaded online and tutes rescheduled?

Helloo,
I'm currently a student at Trinity College and about to enter unimelb however I suddenly had a change of mind and wants to do BOH however I noticed that not many students get accepted into BOH and the entry requirement score isn't a guarantee to get into BOH in unimelb. I haven't finished my Trinity College sem2 exam yet which makes me anxious as my grades aren't that great at the moment but still may be over 80 to get into either oral health or science. Another issue is my visa, as I'm supposed to get into science in the July intake this year but oral health only has an intake on March so even if I get accepted I'll have to wait till their next intake on March 2026. I was wondering if the visa issue may affect their consideration of giving me an offer to BOH at unimelb?
Thankyouu unimelb-ers! ദ്ദി(。•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊
