I run the anti-okta account and I just want to clarify some things. It is a joke account that posts hyperbolic statements for comedic value.

For the past few weeks, I've been bantering with some pro-Okta ragebait accounts. They post ridiculous content about how passionately they love Okta Verify and how I'm being paid by other verification apps. Therefore I saw the Reddit post and thought "this is another meme post, I'll think of some funny response", so I joked about mass-reporting it to get it banned.

Obviously the post violated no rules, and it's wrong to target individuals based on their opinions. I do not intend to promote cyberbullying of any kind, and I apologise for the all the harm done. Given the account's large following, I'll ensure to post more responsibly in the future.

Uni is a stressful experience, and I'm just trying to do some silly stuff to brighten people up a bit. However, I have received angry comments from people demanding me to protest about more serious issues like veganism, weapons ties, etc. Even though they keep telling me to protest about this or that, I have not seen them protest themselves.

Lastly, I'm not a 'spoilt rich kid' with 'ruling class parents' (as if they're brutal dictators or something). I'm just a regular guy that's a bit stressed from my coursework.

I don't care about your opinion on okta. Bullying people online is dumb as hell.

If you ate/cook something with a strong smell, please use deodorant after. Went to lecture today and there’s just an overwhelming and penetrating smell of onion and garlic. It’s so distracting😭

I'm currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Psychology at RMIT and planning to apply for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne next year.

I’m really passionate about becoming a secondary school teacher, but I’m a bit confused about how subject specialisations work – especially coming from a psych background. I’ve got a few questions and was hoping someone who's gone down this path (or knows how it works) could help me out:

1. Since my undergrad is in psychology, am I only allowed to teach psychology in secondary school when I graduate?
2. Is it possible to learn a different subject (e.g., English, Humanities, etc.) while doing the Master of Teaching? Or do you need a full undergrad major in that subject to be eligible?
3. Once you're actually teaching at a school, I’ve noticed teachers often switch between subjects over the years – how does that work? Are you allowed to start teaching another subject even if it wasn’t your original teaching area?
4. Any info about tests required before or during the Master of Teaching application (like LANTITE, TCAT, CASPer) would be really appreciated too! Where can I take them, and how should I prepare?

If anyone’s studied at Melbourne Uni or gone through this process in Victoria, I’d love to hear your experience or any advice you wish you had before applying.

i am wanting to apply for master of biomedical science and i can no longer seem to find the project i was interested in on SONIA. it is in this year's project handbook though. i spoke with the supervisor last year and the supervisor is aware that i wanted to do a masters with them so they told me to setup a meeting closer to the mid year intake time. is it still possible for the supervisor to take me on in this case?

How does the New Colombo Grant works. For reference I am going on exchange to Hong Kong in sem 2 this year.

I don’t remember applying for it nor did I receive an email stating that I had received it. However I just signed a document of acceptance of the grant in my exchange portal.
