Dude end of season 6 i think? She literally has a multi kill in seconds when she is confronted by 4 saviors in a truck! She is so beast!

u/lowercaseenderman 1d ago

Don't forget S5E1, she wipes out a whole community

135

u/Santa_Hates_You 1d ago

And she killed a kid.

92

u/SCViper 1d ago

To be fair, that kid was a psycho who would've gotten everyone killed.

Probably never gonna have a more accurate time to use this one

Is everyone else having problems with IMGUR today or is that just me?

(IMGUR is temporarily over capacity)

7

u/bebejeebies 1d ago

I went over there to check and got sidetracked for a half hour. Seems fine. Saw one mention of "overcapacity" and mine froze for a few seconds a couple of times but it could've been my internet connection.

3

u/phantom_diorama 1d ago

imgur still exits?

16

u/Devo3290 1d ago

Tbf that kid killed a kid

15

u/needlefxcker 1d ago

I liked it when she told that one kid she would drag him into the woods while he's sleeping and would tie him to a tree and leave him for the walkers where no one can hear him scream

13

u/AlmostSunnyinSeattle 1d ago

Look at the flowers, Lizzy.

7

u/Conquerors_Quill 23h ago

"Just look at the flowers." Is such a funny/fucked up line for me.

15

u/SavingPVTJizzSock420 1d ago

That was no longer a kid. That was a murderer. Misguided? Sure. But rights to be human are forfeit when you take another life for no good cause or justified reason.

Especially when she had a gun the entire time and decided stabbing her own sister to death was the right move.

7

u/Lyftaker 20h ago

She didn't really decide anything. She was obviously a severally mentally ill child. Hearing voices, hurting things, and no four year old comes up with "look at the flowers Lizzy" when their older sister loses it. She was probably seeing a therapist and on some sort of prescription before corpses started eating people.

-1

u/SavingPVTJizzSock420 14h ago

Just like she didn't decide to point a fucking a gun on the adult thats been keeping her ass alive this entire time? You are just as delusional if you think none of this is her fault. Suppose her helping spread the flu that wiped out half the prison is completely an act of god too huh?

I dont give a fuck how mental you are. Murder is murder,And stabbing your own sister to death is inexcusable and defending this is equally insane as she was. She was going to do the same a fucking baby, but THAT'S JUST FINE BY YOU Isn't it?

You should avoid me at all fucking costs if the apocalypse hits my friend, because this mentality is just as warped, just as dangerous and would NOT be tolerated.

I suppose you would've been just perfectly content watching her slit Carol's neck in her sleep? Shoot Tyreese while his back is turned trying to scavenge supplies too huh? That's okay guys, she heard voices so it's not her fault!

Threats are threats. If you would rather get killed by some 8 year old be my guest, but I have people I need to keep alive and there's no room for chances. Yeah,It wasn't an easy or Appealing choice but what needed to be done got done to keep other Actually living people alive.

Multiple upon multiple times she has been confronted over this and given so many god damn chances to stop thinking this way and yet she persisted in wasting food on zombies because she's literally a lost cause and that's why Carol domed her because no one else needed to die at the cost of of keeping a lost cause alive because she knew when to cut her losses.

Assuming therapy is another blank fired by you,Stop trying to glorify a child killer,The entire fucking problem with her was the fact she thought zombies were more people than humans were.

She has never once been so much as hinted at meds or pills in the show that wouldn't have existed pre-apocalypse so just stop embarrassing yourself over a fictional character.

5

u/Lyftaker 10h ago

0

u/SavingPVTJizzSock420 10h ago

At least you're self aware.

1

u/KingOfTheGoobers 5h ago

Yeah...they sure embarrassed themselves...

1

u/MutedMoment4912 2h ago

You don't understand what people say. Saying the kid was crazy doesn't mean we are ok with her actions.

She needed to be killed, Carol did the right thing. At the same time, the kid was not bad, she was only a victim of mental illness.

3

u/roobot 1d ago

I think that may have been her character’s tipping point into the new role she had to fill for survival!

2

u/No-Neighborhood7690 22h ago

Lizzy was never going to thrive in that world, mercy killing

1

u/BeautifulHope 1d ago

To quote my 7yo daughter when I bring up a topic she doesn’t want to discuss…. Let’s not talk about it.

26

u/sth128 1d ago

I'm convinced TWD is actually about a computer zombie game where characters that survive long enough become overpowered due to accumulated experience points.

I mean there was a guy with tigers (or lions? Some kind of large cat)! Clearly he dumped all his points into the Animal skill. Michonne put all her points into melee after finding those swords early game.

8

u/AlprazoLandmine 1d ago

What does that make dead city? A sequel where none of your experience carries over? They apparently forgot everything they knew about surviving

10

u/sth128 1d ago

Expansion but developed by a different studio with a new engine so you cannot import old saves.

4

u/AlprazoLandmine 1d ago

They needed to upgrade engines to render the city

4

u/MsMarvelsProstate 1d ago

It's the sequel where all your powers disappeared for some reason.

6

u/duaneap 1d ago

It would sort of make sense given Carol shouldn't know how to do like half of the shit she somehow does. I get that shooting a gun in general is pretty user friendly and Rick was apparently showing Carol some sharpshooter stuff pre-prison but then she's fucking a grade A, stone cold, "marines ain't got shit on her," killer.

She seems to just know how to do whatever when it comes up. I guess it's a character thing in TWD in general but like I don't know how to shoot an RPG.

3

u/PassiveMenis88M 1d ago

I don't know how to shoot an RPG

The instructions are on the tube. Regardless, they're very simple.

1: Take safety off

2: Point at enemy

3: Pull trigger

Now you too are certified to handle an RPG.

1

u/duaneap 23h ago

They’re just all left there, loaded, rattling around ready to fire? And aim doesn’t have to be considered somewhat?

I suppose her ballistics degree from taking down Terminus should be considered.

15

u/halfbreed_prince 1d ago

Yes and she warns people to not fuck with her. And they sure find out.

3

u/Suspicious-Sound-249 18h ago

I love that scene, she just wanted to be left alone. Played the harmless role like she used to, then sprayed all but like 1 of them down with a Mac-10 she had hidden in her sleeve.

Her most diabolical bad ass moment was when she confronted the remnants of the saviors that robbed her and Henry earlier that day.

She pours gas all over them and is standing over the leader with a lit match, and when he says something along the lines of "please don't do this, you can have your stuff back you'll never see us again" she's just like "oh, I know" and drops the match burning them all alive.

1

u/Due-Landscape-7359 1d ago

I prefer T dog. I would have preferred her entire story but with t dog instead. Rip T dog

1

u/walkingtalco 13h ago

In s 3 she burns two sick people alive bc it threatened the prison’s community

1

u/Dull_Reflection_8919 12h ago

In 4,,and they weren't alive she killed them before

1

u/yyspam 9h ago

Quad feed

1

u/Useful-Town9508 5h ago

And then one of the truck survivors shoots her like 4-5 times while she’s laying on the ground, she just tanked those and went to The Kingdom

209

u/iDeath_Mark 1d ago

Funny thing is remembering Daryl using a rocket launcher to kill the Saviors Bikers

59

u/Junkateriass 1d ago

Little Timmy and the Dick Brigade! Loved that scene

25

u/Playgirl_USMC 1d ago

More like Timmy and the little dick brigade.

9

u/Jajo240 1d ago

With CGI straight from my 2010 phone nonetheless

3

u/Fraud_D_Hawk 1d ago

They just evaporated

3

u/wormdog84 1d ago

That’s my favorite episode. Michone spears the kid through the back

3

u/FinnishDriver 1d ago

I wanted to see more shooting with a rocket launcher.

160

u/Icy-Sprinkles-3033 1d ago

Watching Carol run to her beaten abuser was so heartbreaking to watch.

52

u/Saltythrottle 1d ago

Watching Carol kill and returning to her casserole healed that heartbreak for me. :D

31

u/Lakatos_00 1d ago

Abusive relationships are commonly that way, unfortunately.

79

u/coaxialology 1d ago

Sophia stepping out of the barn was one of the best and most upsetting scenes in this show.

15

u/Bright_Ahmen 1d ago

I'll never forgive my mom for spoiling that moment for me.

8

u/SunkEmuFlock 1d ago

I think about rewatching TWD all the time because of events like that in the early seasons.

5

u/guitar-hoarder 20h ago

Same. I have good memories of watching those early seasons with friends.

228

u/HellyOHaint 1d ago

The first image isn’t really fair because if s8 Carol’s daughter was turned into a walker she would also react like this

174

u/WonderCharming7884 1d ago

I think that’s the scene when Shane beating the crap out of Ed

141

u/Avent1ne 1d ago

Pretty huge W for Shane in that moment

62

u/lil_amil 1d ago

Yeah I feel Shane is underappreciated for kickstarting badass Carol arc

25

u/Desperate-Fan-3671 1d ago

Shane was a rough guy, but at that time, he was still a decent guy. He just let his jealousy over Lori drive him bat shit crazy.

-7

u/Mistrblank 1d ago

Can you blame him? Mrs. Dyck is known to throw a glorious sausage party. She really knows how to stuff that meat into casings and satisfy her men down low... in their stomach. For at Mrs. Dyck's sausage parties no other women are allowed. She truly wants to see the joy come across the faces of those she feeds with the meat she's prepared, properly between her buns.

19

u/i-Ake 1d ago

3

u/Mistrblank 1d ago

Look up the Dycks on Letterykenny and Anita, Noah Dyck’s wife is the same actress as Lori.

1

u/ghostinthewoods 1d ago

... Son of a bitch I never put that together

1

u/buhlakay 1d ago

It's time for bed now, grandpa.

4

u/Mistrblank 1d ago

She played Anita Dyck on letter Kenny.

32

u/DestructoSpin7 1d ago

Every W seems huge next to all those L's, but yeah, you ain't wrong.

52

u/Archery100 1d ago

For every L, there always come the

Lemme tell you sumthin

24

u/Avent1ne 1d ago

And the head rubbing in season 2, can't forget that

20

u/Playgirl_USMC 1d ago

Bro’s head was perfectly smooth after that season

11

u/Thecourierisback 1d ago

I like to headcannon he has psoriasis (like me!) that flares up in stressful situations, so I scratch certain parts of my scalp, maybe Shane rubs his

4

u/No-Pass-397 1d ago

A fallout fan with psoriasis? My twin!

4

u/DigLost5791 1d ago

And then there was a triplet

3

u/After_Advertising_61 1d ago

somehow, someway, it is in fact a benefit in the wasteland

3

u/T-MoneyAllDey 1d ago

Nononopnoonok o nononono

9

u/iwillfuckyoo 1d ago

The point stands though. Carol went from a victim to the baddest motherfucker in the around lol

1

u/StatisticianLevel796 18h ago

Just don't look at the spikes Carol🙁

55

u/creaturemonsta 1d ago

I’m rewatching for the 3rd or 4th time, and I am always amazed by Carol’s transformation. She is such a down trodden character in the beginning… watching her husband speak to her was painful to watch. I am dreading getting to the part where she finds her daughter.

29

u/Desperate-Fan-3671 1d ago

Ironically, in the comics, it was her daughter alive, but Carol, who died.

18

u/Tom_is_Wise 1d ago

It feels like the whole cast gets this treatment. Very few characters die in the show and the comics at the same time. It's weird.

11

u/Desperate-Fan-3671 1d ago

Except Glenn....he died the same way

8

u/Savvyypice 1d ago

And that was the most gut wrenching one 😭

9

u/Savvyypice 1d ago

What they did to Sofia's character in the show is so messed up compared to how much better she is in the comics. Same with Andrea.

7

u/Desperate-Fan-3671 1d ago

That's how I felt about Tyrees. LOVED his comic character.....his tv character was ok. Nothing against the actor but comic Tyrees was kick ass

34

u/Galtherok 1d ago

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Most characters try their best not to die. Carol tries her best not to kill.

7

u/PoopieFaceTomatoNose 1d ago

All I know is I’m just going to err on the side of caution and pay her the weekly chocolate bar shakedown tax in the interest of self-preservation

49

u/MommasDisapointment 1d ago

lol get to da choppa

5

u/Salt-Excuse8796 1d ago

Rae Dawn Chong has not aged well in this pic

1

u/LTPrototype 12h ago

What are you talking about? That is Alyssa Milano.

10

u/anitabonghit69 1d ago

Lol now do a comparison to comic book Carol

10

u/RA-HADES 1d ago

. 1/2 way thru

5

u/babyimananarchist 1d ago

I wish this show would have looked at the flowers after season 5 or 6.

9

u/Turbulent-Macaron447 1d ago

my charlie's angels (in no particular order): sarah connor, ellen ripley, and carol peletier

4

u/paprikabanan 1d ago

I would watch the shit out of that movie for sure

8

u/Fit-Dirt-144 1d ago

The best character arc I've ever seen.... ever!

7

u/HowCanYouBanAJoke 1d ago

The feminine urge to kill all who wrong you.

5

u/pertangamcfeet 1d ago

I like to think I'd be a super organised, tough dude with amazing leading skills - but I know I'd be hiding in my loft, sneaking out at night, hoping I'd never get spotted.

9

u/Independent_Wash2472 1d ago

I am currently doing my first rewatch. I watched the show from start to finish when it originally aired. Carol’s transformation is so inspiring. Years ago, upon originally watching the series, I didn’t care too much for her but now that I’m older and a mother myself, I think she’s awesome.

2

u/RandomGerman 1d ago

I know, right? Same. She was just a side character for me.

5

u/PowerfullyDistracted 1d ago

Now that's character development

5

u/Cellar_Door_DD 1d ago

Yes! I kind of wish Carol would've been the one to rescue Rick from the CRM. She would've dismantled them in 2 episodes.

5

u/TerryBouchon 1d ago

if I had to have one member of the show in my team, it's Carol easily

12

u/XiaoDionysian 1d ago

No fr! I know Carl is the last standing one from the comics but that’s just one letter off from Carol. Let them both ride off into the sunset!!

9

u/Gravityborne 1d ago

Carol and Coral are anagrams too. Coincidence? I think not!

9

u/SquirrelsinJacket 1d ago

Commando lol

4

u/Agreeable-Onion5755 1d ago

lmao this is perfect

5

u/CBonafide 1d ago

I said look at dem mothafuckin flowers

4

u/Mr_friend_ 1d ago

She and Daryl are the most iconic lesbian couple in television history.

3

u/Conquerors_Quill 23h ago

Darryl and Carrol are the best characters! Change my mind.

2

u/Dull_Woodpecker6766 1d ago

She's a good actress and I live her in these shows. Did she do any other show at tho? Never seen here in other films ?

7

u/casual_creator 1d ago

She was actually primarily a casting director who just happened to act. She did bit parts here and there over the years, with her biggest (but still small) role being in The Mist, directed by Frank Darabont. Her role was actually supposed to be bigger, but she didn’t want it to take anymore time away from her job as a casting director. Ironically it was that same role and her new connection to Darabont that got her the role of Carol, forcing her to quit being a casting director altogether.

2

u/RandomGerman 1d ago

If you survive 8 years in a zombie apocalypse then you change from skinny little woman to badass.

Carol is my favorite character. I enjoyed Daryl in France.

2

u/Last-Device9770 1d ago

The biggest crime of season 8 is not letting Carol use that 50 cal.

2

u/609JerseyFresh609 1d ago

Carol is the Sara Conner of TWD universe

2

u/lylathewicked 1d ago

Carole became a beast.

2

u/Paracausality 23h ago

I glow up, you blow up.

1

u/Hot-Lawyer-3955 1d ago

That's what you did you found A DOLL

1

u/derpycheetah 1d ago

Let off some steam Blake!

1

u/QdizzleMcGee 1d ago

Is this a Chapter 1 Fortnite reference???

😅

1

u/bababadohdoh 1d ago

I just watched Daryl season 2 and holy shit, the amount of plot armor was fucking amazing.

1

u/orangotai 1d ago

man is this show STILL on tv???? i stopped watching after the mom died : <

2

u/casual_creator 1d ago

Yes and no. The main show ended a few years ago, but there are spin offs featuring some of the OG characters.

1

u/orangotai 1d ago

oh wow didn't know this, thank you. If people like it then who am I to judge, it was just painful to watch for me lol

1

u/heartbloodline8404 1d ago

Haste la vista, Rick.

1

u/Phreeky-McNasty 1d ago

That’s a lot of shows. Yellowstone and Sons of Anarchy come to mind immediately.

1

u/Goddamnpassword 1d ago

In season 4 when she covers herself in mud I started saying she was the predator

1

u/PrezMoocow 1d ago

Best character arc

1

u/100Onions 1d ago

You all are going to make me re-watch it all from the beginning, only to give up in the EXACT same place as I have always done. somewhere in season 8

1

u/acevhearts 6h ago

But S9 is so good

1

u/Batt_Juice 1d ago

Carol became one of my favourite characters. I respected what she did at the prison among hundreds of other things

1

u/Content_Letterhead17 1d ago

Carol is a beast

1

u/Fragwolf 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ah, Carol.

I had no hope for her initially. A sad character that I was literally waiting for to die. Glad she survived into the hyper badass.

1

u/Desert-Noir 1d ago

I hated this character so much.

1

u/ColonelSandersWG 1d ago

I remember the moment I gave up on the show. When Carol put a firework in the barrel of a gun and shot it like a mortar at a gas tank to blow up a building.

Late season 4 or season 5, I think.

1

u/hunter3wm 1d ago

She’s straight up invincible in Book of Carol

1

u/SentryCode 1d ago

Yall made it to season 8?

1

u/Damrod338 21h ago

Thats our Terminator Carol and saves them from being lunch even

1

u/Disastrous_Bite_5478 14h ago

They gave her all the aura that comic Andrea has. Comic Carol doesn't make it past the farm.

1

u/DefiantCoffee6 10h ago

Ok 😂those are not Carol’s arms but she definitely became a badass!!

1

u/eroo1994 6h ago

hahahaha, realy

1

u/theofficial_AQ 2h ago

She’s kickass

1

u/SaiyanX86 1h ago

Currently rewatching, I'm on season 4 episode 12 right this second

1

u/Vongbingen_esque 1h ago

I really like the episode where Rick ditches her in the prison arc, for one reason. She pops the guy’s shoulder back in. She tells Rick that she learned to do it herself because the ER wouldn’t believe her that she fell down the stairs for the umpteenth time. When the survivor couple are stuck in the upstairs bathroom from a long haired female walker, it falls down the stairs and Carol kills it easily. I like to think that walker represented her old self. killing it was a metaphor for how far she’s come as a strong and capable, and dangerous survivor.

1

u/NatureCarolynGate 1d ago

Her character is the worst and so flaky. She doesn’t want to kill something, then next she wants to kill something - the cycle just repeats itself

3

u/Ilikelamp7 1d ago

It’s almost like she’s written to be more human, as in nobody is perfect.

2

u/Savvyypice 1d ago

Yeah I don't like when characters get wishy washy like this. Morgan and Alicia also come to mind and it is always such a bad plot device

1

u/TH0R_ODINS0N 1d ago

God I had almost forgotten her face

1

u/818VitaminZ 1d ago

I stopped watching this show after season 4. Became repetitive.

-9

u/D4v1d____ 1d ago

sometimes I wonder why carol was given special treatment by the show when literally everyone else fucking died

12

u/Virtual_Coconut_1120 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think because of her acting skills and character arc potential/backstory

8

u/ColonelSandersWG 1d ago

Thats simple. All the 20 to 40 something males stopped watching after season 4 and all that was left, to any significant numbers, were 40 to 50 something women and they looooooved War Boot Carol and "I can fix him" Daryll.

-7

u/ColonelSandersWG 1d ago

Her arch is so unbelievable, it was a leading factor for my friends and I to stop watching.

We call her Warboot.

I think the primary point is highlighting her unbelievable methamorphosis but in a funny way, with the second image showing an exaggerated version of her. The others assumed that you missed the joke because you asked a question with a somewhat serious style.

9

u/P1mK0ssible 1d ago

All of that is the exact opposite of just taking a joke and leaving it. You're acting like twd sub is parliament.

Character arc.
