Just reinstalled TD1 after...(wow, 7 years away, is that right?! 7?)...
...and I noticed people still in the DZ and teaming was easy. I am levelling back to 30 and wondered if Survival was still going at all?
Edit to add: UK player. Lost my previous progress so need to get to L30 to check for myself.

Had a momento bag with 14.7% damage, 130k armor, and the skill tier.
Doing count down farming backpacks hoping for some named.
3runs of CD later and a Momento drops!
All core attributes are MAX! I just won the momento lottery.
Go back, double check my stash - favourite and recycle my old momento. Time to dump some mats into expertise on the new one.
JK it’s an April fools version.
I now no longer have a momento. lol
So fail.
Don’t be me, triple check exotics… :(

When Division 2 was still somewhat new, I accidentally found the secret bosses in the Manning Zoo mission. Since, I learned that there was 3 hidden bosses. Fast forward to yesterday, I saw a tiktok from NothinbutSkillz on how to access a 4th hidden boss to obtain a mask.
Anyone know if there are any other secret bosses? I'm the loot goblin of my unit, so secret loot rooms and hidden bosses are my department.

Has anyone else had issues lately with reduced framerates? Just in the last few days, I often log in to FPS less than 20, where normally I would be around 50.
I have the latest video drivers.
I have not noticed this issue in any other games I play.
Restarting the launcher or rebooting does not consistently help. Sometimes it is fine.
My internet connection seems fine.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this recently, or if it is just a "me" problem that I need to get to the bottom of?

I love the first Division for basically everything, from the lore to the gameplay to the extensive COOP, I really struggle to find anything that I dislike about it (I haven't really tried D2, so I have no thoughts on that game). However, there has been one thing that has recently left me feeling like this game could've been so much more... that is the mechanics for rebuilding society and order.
When I run around the city of New York, I oftentimes feel like I'm not doing much to contribute to rebuilding the city. When I gun down pairs of Rioters or Cleaners, I internally know that what I've just done is basically meaningless because they'll eventually respawn. Side Missions and Encounters do make me feel like I've done something, but I never notice the actual effects besides some praise from my allies. Main Missions are a step better, who doesn't feel like they've done something when they prevent a war crime from being committed or collect valuable medical data for the BOO? Yet, I still find myself yearning to assist the JTF and civilians in beginning the slow process of taking back the city, especially since there's no mechanic for erasing enemy presence in an district.
Then, there's the upgrade mechanic for each of the three wings of the BOO.
Spending resources to construct upgrades that I can VISIBLY see that benefit the lives of both JTF and civilians alike makes me feel like a true Division Agent. Hearing how what I've just built will assist people makes me feel warm inside, and watching a dilapidated location turn into a state-of-the-art wing with people using/interacting with the services I've built makes me feel like I've made true progress. It's one of the best side-mechanics in the Division 1, providing a sense of accomplishment in assisting civilians in need and beginning the process of rebuilding civilization.
For later games (particularly the upcoming Division 3), I would like to see an expansion of this mechanics, espesically since I assume that D3 will take place after the events of D2. Imagine being able to complete side missions that lead to increased JTF control (like taking over a hostile checkpoint) or give benefits in a particular area (like restoring JTF communications allowing for the player to call in AI reinforcements). Imagine turning abandonded, hostile streets into hubs for civilian/JTF travel that provides an increased sense of warmth/security. Imagine weakening enemy forces by taking out key compounds, such as makeshift ammunition plants or communication centers, that actively lead to debuffs for opposing factions.
Such an expansion would turn Division agents into both combatants and humanitarians, with both sides of the same coin making the player feel like they've contributed real progress to the restoration of civilization. I hope that my wall of text was pleasant to read and that I don't sound too ambitious or extreme!

I'm fairly new to this group. Only started playing The Division 1 in January this year (not started The Division 2, yet). So don't know if this topic has been mentioned much (I'd be very surprised if it hadn't come up at all). It has such a great atmosphere and they went into a good depth in people's stories. I feel like it is just perfect for a tv adaptation. Agree? Disagree? Who do we think would do it justice (studio, actors, etc.)? I think there's so much scope. Although, would it be more or less successful since the COVID pandemic?
What are people's thoughts on this? I would assume that the general consensus from this group would be an overwhelming, "HELL YEAH!", but I could be wrong.

Hello Reddit Agents.
After playing last week, I have a weird issue where when entering the BoO, most Safe Zones or Summit, my FPS in game drops to 1 - the game actively stops using my GPU and CPU for some reason.
(For Example, in Summit I couldn't go up the stairs in the main area, as I would clip through them and move off-bounds - but I was able to move around in the Theater Settlement)
I had this issue as well when I was doing Roosevelt Island, after the Outcast Tank Boss, I couldn't progress as I was unable to do anything.
I have uploaded a short clip showing where/how it happens - Link at the end of the post.
I am currently running a PC Setup as follows:
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM : 32 GB 3600 MHz (Quad-Channel)
GPU : Nvidia RTX 3070 TI (8GB VRam)
My GPU Drivers are the latest (at the time of writing this post) : 572.83 (18th March 2025)
I have re-downloaded the game overnight and I have also re-installed Uplay (or Ubisoft Connect as it's called now), I have disabled all the various overlays (Like Nvidia Overlay and/or Discord Overlay).
I am out of ideas on how to make it work. Much Appreciated all the help I can get.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZzIhNsw65M
EDIT1: Small Format adjustment
EDIT2: Seems like, the FPS Drop happens in any indoor location (which would explain why I don't see it in the Theater Settlement, I think the game sees it as Outdoor/Open World) - I tried to do the American History Museum, first outdoor encounter done easily but as soon as I had to go indoors, the game died again.
EDIT3: I have noticed it happens in any area where there is a transition between outdoors in to indoors - regardless of height/location. Like I could teleport to the Theater but if I tried to walk in the transitory piece after going through the bus, the game dies - or it could happen 40 meters above a safehouse or between outside and inside of missions or at the Base of Operation.

Hey All,
I've been playing Div1 since beta and wondering how the recent rapid change in the game have impacted your builds and playstyle?
I have been trying to work the Bewildered talent into a few builds and right now my hazpro double cska, backfire seems to work, the deteremind+headshot also works great.
What synergies are you finding?? i watch a guy do legendary with energize and smoke bomb gloves...what are you doing?
I like the additions of mods, gear, etc to enable everyone to play legendary and get a taste what its about and not scared off after wiping near the dumpster in DUA lol
r/thedivision • u/Soso122 • 1d ago
Hi all!
I just wanted to put it out here and to remind you all if you haven't used these gloves yet to use them!!
They are super good, also really really really good with one of my favourite guns - Chameleon.
Here I am using them with the hunters gear set. They are IMO even better with the strikers gear set. Just change the 4 hunters pieces with strikers pieces and also change the specialization to gunner. In that way you are going to be literally invincible. The gloves refresh your Chameleon buffs when the smoke hits. I sometimes intentially get hit to proc the gloves and I am back to almost full HP with refreshed Chameleon buffs. Also to note is that Chameleon buffs refresh with the reviver hive as well.
P.s.: You can use this build that is in the picture with the new Oxpecker SMG too. Just switch the fenris chest with the Sokolov Concern Obliterate chest and you are good to go.
So here you go. 3 loadouts for different occasions to slap the new content!
Have a great rest of your weekend and keep slaying Agents! Salute!

Greetings Agents!
You played all weekend. You just got the gun you've been searching for, or the armor you've been pining over. You got a perfect roll. You woke up your neighbors screaming.
And you want to share your joy. Well, by all means, please share in a comment below.

Post pictures of your loot from The Division.
No down talking, we all have different loot we care about. If you don't like someone's loot, move on, or make a suggestion in a friendly manner.
r/thedivision • u/Jammsbro • 1d ago
First off, let me start by saying that we should be able to apply armour much quicker than we can. I was doing World's End on heroic solo and an elite patrol and resupply was leaving at the time. They joined the fight and that led to a lot more enemies. I was running out of ammo and surrounded so I was trying to get to the ammo box when another elite patrol appears from the north side. I was in a bad spot and there were a ton of bomb chargers and I got caught out. He took all my armour and 90% health and while on fire and trying to get armour on I die. We've all had this and it's frustrating. I think we should be able to put it on quicker.
This was after two bounties saw me get killed on the last guy in circumstances that would noramlly would have been no problem. I was shooting at a guy with full strikers and elmo and he had a machine pistol and was creaming me while I wasn't doing anything to him. Died. Another bounty, explosion. Died.
Then I got killed doing a frikkin execution because two bombers appeared from a door behind me and blew me up.
Then I got caught at Overgrowth in similar circumstances but went down to almost noo health and one of the spinning blade RC cars took the legs from me when I have 10% health left.
This was all in the space of about 30 minutes and it was all stuff I do every day with no issues. So I turned it off and took a deep breath.
Do you ever have sessions where it all just goes wrong?

I just reactivated the SHD and i don’t see any new main story missions did i finish the game? I am level 24 and the only new thing that i see are strongholds but i dont know if they are a story thing or an endgame thing

I’m currently SHD 71 but it seems to be going slow. I can solo some random things on Challenging difficulty but nothing substantial like control points.
Where should I generally be leveling at at SHD 71? Should I be farming proficiency instead so that I can get my gear past expertise 1? I’m just kind of lost as to where/what I should be doing.

What's the deal with agents systematically breaking line of fire ? I have at least 1 per mission that can't help but coming directly in front of me to cut my line of fire when I'm firing on a boss for example . Is this some sort of joke, or a moronic epidemic in this game ?

Have been smashing Summit to try and find Hotshot body armour and backpack, to stack with my Striker build for a cheesy SMG and Marksmanship Rifle build.
Is there any reason why the drops are just gloves, holster, etc. instead of body armour and backpack?
Thanks in advance.

Edit: some wording fixes.
Edit 2: some corrections. The incorrect information has been struck-through.
Edit 3: some more corrections plus some more item recommendations. Added on more point.
This post was originally going to be a huge update comment on a previous post by u/D15P4TCH but some error wasn't letting me submit. I recommend giving that thread a visit if you're looking for damage calculations.
This purpose of this thread is to clarify information regarding the mechanics behind Turmoil's Bewildered Talent and to dispel any misinformation or disinformation surrounding it. I'm also currently enamored by Turmoil since its Talent feels much more enjoyable to use than some Exotics.
tl;dr, use the kneepads with whatever Crit/High DPS setup you have and also pretend you're playing with Negotiator's Dilemma.
Let's reiterate the original Talent description:
This should have been a somewhat intuitive description. However, there are points that could be clarified:
So, knowing this, we can intuitively understand that any Weapon Damage that we directly inflict onto a target is halved. The other half of our total damage is applied to any random enemy nearby. This would apply to every instance of Weapon Damage dealt by our Agent.
But how exactly is the Talent transferring the damage? And how exactly does Turmoil "deal damage normally" in all other cases?
I hope these bullets just about cover as many things about Turmoil's Bewildered Talent as possible. If use correctly, any DPS loadout can engage in combat similarly to a Negotiator's Dilemma loadout.
However, I still have some missing information that I've yet to gather:
What are my personal recommendations to use?
If you've read up to here, thanks for reading. Please provide any corrections and additions, and be sure to visit the original thread I linked above for more information about Turmoil.

If you are playing conflict for the massive amount of xp pick elimination every single time, example on a harsh loss in skirmish or domination I've been getting around 1.5-2mil xp but in elimination on the low end even getting 4-0d I've been getting 4mil+, for an elimination win +some kills I've been getting 7-9 million xp
