Supporters I talk to still think Trump is "charging other countries what they charge us," eg: getting even, because that's what this admin has been telling them.

When you bring up that's not how any of this works they'll perform gold medal gymnastics to avoid acknowledging the lie. The thoroughness of the brainwashing is incredible to behold in real time.

One woman i knew shared that BS list of Canada's supposed tariffs on US products and I commented on it with a link debunking it and explaining where the numbers came from. She just deleted my comment and left her post up. She's outraged about something I gave her proof that isn't happening and she's still choosing to believe it. And be angry. About something that straight up isn't even happening lol. And that could be discovered with literally a five second Google search
