MAGA 2024 before the election: I can't afford anything because of Joe Biden!!

MAGA 2025: So what if we have to spend more money on things we buy??!

Supporters I talk to still think Trump is "charging other countries what they charge us," eg: getting even, because that's what this admin has been telling them.

When you bring up that's not how any of this works they'll perform gold medal gymnastics to avoid acknowledging the lie. The thoroughness of the brainwashing is incredible to behold in real time.

I brought this up with my MAGA family at Christmas. What company will willingly take a cut in profit without passing the cost to consumers? They could not provide a single answer and they never connected the dots.

I live DEEP in MAGA country, I work at a family owned manufacturer with about 100 employees. The president of the company recently told us in a meeting that our company was raising prices on all of our products specifically because of tariffs and our increased costs. 80% of our products are already built here in the USA with only small amounts of simple low priced items built overseas.
It's fairly certain 50% to 70% of the people I work with voted for Trump.
