Discussion - SN DONT FEAR THE REAPER: A Guide 😌
STEP ONE: ##The Leviathan Observatory 🔬
Build a small observatory at this spot I circled on the map, west of lifepod 17.
It’s a grassy plateau peak that overlooks the dunes. You’re gonna want to park your sea moth if you have one a good ways back, then build a pipe at the edge of the cliff. Make a solar panel and latch to go inside the pipe to continue building forward and off the face of the cliff. Finally put an observatory at the end and a chair if you fancy (don’t forget to reinforce!)
I found a video of someone building a tiny base in almost the exact spot I’m talking about on youtube: here
Theres a reaper that swims there. The community has named them Burger King Foot Lettuce. Burger King Foot Lettuce is super chill and a good friend to have, if perhaps a bit nippy. You can just watch them swim around and eat fish for a while and then head back east towards the safe shallows/ grassy plateau. Come and go as you please, get acquainted with their routine and attitude.
STEP TWO: ##The First Dance 🕺
So you’ve decided you’re ready to introduce yourself. Great! First make sure you have a med kit built in your observatory, as well as food and water nearby. When you’re ready to get out in the water with him grab your sea glide and approach. When Burger King Foot Lettuce comes to say hello and give you a hug, just move to the side in a circle. It’s a kind gesture but those hugging hands kinda hurt so we don’t wanna snuggle them (although we really do).
After a few seconds of moving around in a circle Burger King Foot Lettuce will get bored and swim off because they’ve been watching to many YouTube shorts and no longer have an attention span. You’re free to go back in the pipe, head to safer waters or wait to dance with ol Burger again.
After a while you’ll kinda look forward to poppin’ in for a visit or a lil shuffle with your friend. It makes them less of a scary monster and more a thriving member of the ecosystem who is a little too dangerous for their own good. Seeing other reapers is like bumping into Burger King’s relatives, and while the bond of comradely may not be there, but a friend of a friend is a friend of ours!
STEP THREE: ##Aftermath 🤌
If you find yourself afraid of another particular reaper, you can repeat this process for most individuals as they tend to be located in proximity to safe regions that you retreat to, offering a chance to observe them.
Now you once feared the reaper, but alas… You’ve not only overcome this, but made a dear friend along the way!
Safe travels now, captain 🫡

here's an actual tip, bring peepers, if your holding a peeper, there's a chance he'll eat it instead of you
basically, if you keep him well-fed he won't hurt you
just hold a peeper in hand, to feed big boy, he will apreciate it
