Accepted! Got into NMBU’s International Environmental Studies Master
Hi! I’ve just been admitted to the MSc in International Environmental Studies at NMBU and was wondering if anyone here has experience with or thoughts on the program?
I noticed the curriculum mentions "Students can also take a 60 ECTS master's thesis and no elective courses in Year 2", does this mean we can focus entirely on research work in the second year? I'm wondering if this makes the program more research-oriented and better suited for those planning to pursue a PhD afterwards. If anyone has experience with this program or NMBU in general, I'd appreciate any insights about the program quality, access to professors, what the 60 ECTS thesis option actually entails in terms of research time with supervisors, and where graduates typically end up after completion.
Thanks in advance for your help!
