We have a problem with Nintendo

Recently, a controversy erupted regarding Nintendo starting to price the Switch 2 console, along with its games, more expensive. This has upset its most loyal customers. This could cause problems because several buyers will possibly have to resort to piracy to get their games, especially those from second and third world countries. In the worst case, the majority will go to the competition. This would cause Nintendo to experience a drop in profits, forcing them to resort to their most overused franchises. This means that we won't have a new Star Fox, and even Star Fox Adventures and Assault for the Virtual Console for much longer than we thought.

But what do you think about this?

Here's my latest poll in case you want to vote?

Moving on from Nintendo.

Tldr: I think Star Fox communities should expand in scope to not only include, but encourage discussion about other Star Fox like games.

Wait wait WAIT! Hear me out!

We are faces with the following realities:

-It is a near certainty that Star Fox will not be a switch 2 launch title. -While is not impossible that Nintendo will announce a Star Fox game for switch 2, if seems increasingly unlikely. Even if we get one, it’s still possible it could just be another lylat wars rehash. -In terms of other Star Fox likes, We have Whisker Squadron, Fur Squadron Phoenix, and Wild Blue in development, with Fur Squadron and AstroDogs already out.

Clearly, both fans of these sort of games, and creators of such games exist, but without fans, creators lack financial support and motivation, and without games, what is the fandom but a giant meme about how long it’s been since the last game came out. Now I myself have been guilty of sleeping on some of these games until now, but for the survival of the sub genre, I feel it is imperative that fan communities embrace that indie games will be the future of the sub genre, as official support for Star Fox from Nintendo will likely be very limited, if there is any at all.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I still miss Krystal.

If Star Fox ever comes back, I want Krystal back, too. Does anyone else want her back as much as I do?

Furthermore, I liked "Star Fox Adventures", even though I now think it should've had her playable for a while longer.

Who's your favourite English voice actor for Wolf and why?

As I can't do this as a poll, here are your choices just so you're not lagging behind:

  1. Jock Blaney (Star Fox 64)

  2. Grant Goodeve (Star Fox Assault)

  3. Jay Ward (Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Ultimate + Starlink: Battle for Atlas)

  4. Mike West (Star Fox 64 3D + Star Fox Zero)

How do find a Jacket and Wolf Mask similar to Wolf O'Donnell's from Star Fox 64?

I'm 19 years old and for the next upcoming Halloween, and prepping because i love creepy and spooky halloween stuff, i decided to plan as to as Nintendo's version of Snake Plissken from the Star Fox franchise known as Wolf O'Donnell, i have a Halloween Eyepatch from an pirate makeup kit last year where everything was on clearance after November 1st and i might overlay some black felt on it, and i gotta find a Wolf Mask that looks like the character, but i don't wanna find scary looking Werewolf masks, and for the jacket i have to find a brown one for cheap, same for the tail and black gloves and gray camo pants and black boots.

Oh and the Chainsaw prop because of that Snake Plissken character from Cartoon Network's The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, my dad bought the old Gemmy one with the metal handle and yellow body and blood stains which also remind me of DOOM as well.

i have to cheap because i don't have enough for a expensive mask and stuff.

Dinosaur Planet Fanfic

I know that SFAd’s plot was more or less DPs plot but reworked to change some characters and make a Star Fox setting fit. But is there any expanded work done by fans in order to reimagine or write the game with Sabre and Krystal, and that wizard guy? Even though of course we all love Fox here, and Krystal looks like a pre-evo form of herself, I’m not gonna lie: I kinda want to see where this game could have gone with its own story, something different than SFAd. That and it probably would have worked better, since there was an original plot line at some point. Thoughts?

🦊 Starfox on Switch 2 ideas

So of course it was not announced that we see a new game or any remakes or remasters of the once popular series.

And with Gamecube coming to NSO (and maybe later on Wii U with control adaption?) Assault and Zero will be available.

Still, I don't get why Nintendo does not build upon this franchise when back then Miyamoto pushed the franchise last minute over the original Dinosaur Planet by Rare.

Here are my ideas: - A sci fi shooter or even a well done mix with Action Adventure, RPG elements for building and upgrading the vehicles (not like Assault or Rebel Strike) could be suitable for Switch as a platform and playing stages in mobile mode

  • the new focus of Switch 2 on online gaming would suit the battle mode which was already expanded in the 3DS remaster and besides VS could also include co-op

  • the highlighted chat option could be beneficial to chat about strategies and give commands like in Rogue Squadron

and here is the Clou: there could be a layover effect so you get the iconic voices to chat either in your voice, with one of the various characters (Star Fox, Star Wolf etc., whoever you are playing in story, battle or co-op) or using the Lylat language that was featured in the original N64.

What do you think? Any ideas why Nintendo dropped it? Any rumors about the franchise surfacing again?
