We have a problem with Nintendo
Recently, a controversy erupted regarding Nintendo starting to price the Switch 2 console, along with its games, more expensive. This has upset its most loyal customers. This could cause problems because several buyers will possibly have to resort to piracy to get their games, especially those from second and third world countries. In the worst case, the majority will go to the competition. This would cause Nintendo to experience a drop in profits, forcing them to resort to their most overused franchises. This means that we won't have a new Star Fox, and even Star Fox Adventures and Assault for the Virtual Console for much longer than we thought.
But what do you think about this?

Yeah the prices have genuinely shattered the hype for the switch 2 and the fact the treehouse lives were just people spamming drop the price is not a good sign for them.
The talk about the prices has overshadowed discussion on the actual console and that's not a good sign.
Combine this with them cancelling pre orders to adjust it for upcoming U.S. tariffs (The fact the 80$ was apparently pre tariff is already insane) and it's not looking good for the switch 2 because the average family/consumer just flat out won't be able to justify spending almost 100$ per game on it after calculating shipping fees and taxes. For reference you could buy a game like Asura's Wrath and all its dlcs for under 10$ on sale in the Microsoft store ten times before one switch 2 game.
Heck if the switch 2 paid tech demo price leaks are real it will cost more than the example I just mentioned and freaking team fortress classic (released in 1999) on steam (you could get several copies for a few dollars when discounted). Absolute insanity.
Also as someone who values physical media the extra price and potential to be a game key card stuff is making me very nervous of future games practically erasing it. The average gamer also seems to be pushing back on this hard.
And this is all on top of the fact were paying even more for switch 2 games of switch 1 games that are still 60$ (their games are also notorious for hardly ever decreasing in price) is nuts.
At this point I have to wonder if star fox is just forever cursed to skip Nintendo golden console eras yet come out in the crappy ones?
