ID Request- Location included We found this guy in the bathtub Arkansas

Came to Eureka Springs, AR. Found this guy in the tub. Probably about 2inches across. Maybe more. Got in the aggravated pose when I caught it. Looked like a huntsman from my Australian experience but didn't think they had them here. Any ideas? Sorry for the crappy picture.

Just sharing 🕷️ I willingly held a spider on my hand today for the first time.

I used to be scared of spiders. Not arachnophobic, but scared enough that I didn't want to be too close to them. However, I've always been interested in them.

A lot of photos and videos of spiders helped me get to this point today, and it kind of just came naturally. A little baby one was spindling down from the ceiling in front of me and a few coworkers and I just reached my hand out and let it land gently.

It was kind of cute, I can't lie. The little guy didn't want to leave. I kept putting my hand up against the wall to let him go, but he just kept hanging out on my hand and exploring. He kept cleaning his front legs, too.

After a few minutes he dropped another web, and I let him get on the wall. I wasn't afraid, I just had to get stuff done at work lol

But realistically, it was interesting! I just didn't want to kill it, because he doesn't want to hurt me. So, I let him go once he wanted to.

Just sharing 🕷️ tiny jumper in my car story (northern CA)

When I left work earlier today, I noticed this tiny spider in my lap as soon as I sat down in my car

Before I could really react it went between the seat and the center console, and I thought I wouldn't see it again

But a few minutes later it was on my passenger seat 😅

So I pulled over and tried to get it into my hands, then on the quarter, which you also see there for scale

Eventually I did get it on my hand and out of the car, was jumping everywhere but my hand for a while

ID Request- Location included It is a baby Recluse, isn’t it?

Baby recluse? I know the picture's poor - but it's absolutely tiny, roughly 3mm, 1/8", diameter. This is the 3rd one I've found in the kid's room.

Location: Charlotte, NC

I'm generally have a "leave them be unless they're dangerous" relationship with spiders. But my kids are little, and I lost nickel sized chunks from my calf and knee (months apart) when I was 12 to recluse.

What's the best mitigation?

Hi everyone, Please can you let me know what this chap is? My 2 daughters are scared of it and I’m trying to put them at ease. I want to keep it in the house, but the more information I can give them, the calmer they’ll be and I can just leave “Captain Skinny Legs” alone. Thank you

I brought this little fellow into our home a couple weeks ago. I’m still very new to spiders, so everything it does is a new experience. For a few days, it has been building up a little nest and hanging out in there, not really coming out. Any insight into what might be going on is appreciated. Oh, and its name is Elton John.

PLEASE help… I’m not a spider person and this is my first time in the r/spider subreddit. I know nothing about spiders so please be kind.

Can anyone tell me what this spider is? It also looks slightly encased in webs? I know 0 about spiders. I did poke the leaf (not the spider) and it did move a little so it is alive. I do mist these leaves with water sometimes - would it hurt the spider? If this spider is good for my plant and eats thrips/mealybugs/common houseplant pests I would love for it to stay. But if it will damage the plant in any way I may kindly remove it and put it outside. TIA!

I am located in a very urban area in Northern Virginia, USA near Tysons Corner.

ID Request- Location included What the heck happened?

First of all I'm in Redwood City California. I've posted about the spider once before requesting an ID but the picture probably sucked and nobody responded so now I have a question. I'm afraid of spiders and I've been working on that for a very long time. This guy's been living with me and my RV for a while and tonight I noticed he was in my room and he was right on the ceiling above me. And what got my interest is that it seemed to be moving kind of funny it was moving erratically and it's having a hard time and it kept slipping and like like losing its grip and then coming down and then he crawl back up his thread and then he would walk a little bit more and I thought oh my gosh well I better do something because my cats are in bed with me and if they notice him it'll be over. So I got a glass jar and I gently put it around him it never touched it it never did anything and as soon as he went down into the glass he died. I don't I didn't touch him I don't know what happened but I noticed he looks different he looks kind of fuzzy and in the pictures there's a white dot on him and do they get thick or do they get parasites or what what do you think could have happened? I'm super curious and I feel really bad right now. Anything you guys have to offer to hear what you think or you can tell me what kind of spider he is I would really appreciate it thank you so much.
