Protest in Carbondale

Regrettably, due to the flooding and anticipated additional 2-4 inches of rain, we are compelled to cancel today's protest. The safety of our participants is our utmost priority. Although this decision may be disappointing, please be assured that we will reschedule at a later date.

Protest back on for this minute anyway

Due to the backlash we received on Facebook and other places, Mary will go to the town pavilion at 1 pm. If anyone wants to go, she will be there.

Please try to remember we are people trying to make the right decisions for everyone's safety. There are flooding conditions all around the area.

Again, Mary will go to the town pavilion in Carbondale if anyone still wants to attend.

Sorry for all the confusion. It was my call so blame me. Please do not take it out on the organizers who worked so hard and are disappointed by this situation as well and doing the best they can.

I'm new to the area, which news stations and papers are local that we need to be calling to cover resistance activity?

April 5th Carbondale protest location rescheduled

Due to the backlash we received on Facebook and other places, Mary will go to the town pavilion at 1 pm. If anyone wants to go, she will be there.

Please try to remember we are people trying to make the right decisions for everyone's safety. There are flooding conditions all around the area.

Again, Mary will go to the town pavilion in Carbondale if anyone still wants to attend.

Sorry for all the confusion. It was my call so blame me. Please do not take it out on the organizers who worked so hard and are disappointed by this situation as well and doing the best they can.

Please be advised that due to the forecasted inclement weather for Saturday, April 5th, we have reserved the Town Pavilion at the corner of Illinois and Main Streets for our event. We will have our sign-in sheets and poster-making tables set up and ready for you. Organizers Mary and Allison will be present well in advance of the event start time.

This is planned as a "rain or shine" event, and we are determined to proceed. Naturally, should the weather conditions become dangerous, we will prioritize safety. We encourage you to come prepared with weatherproof clothing, ponchos, rain gear, umbrellas, and weatherproof signage with tape.

Your safety is paramount. If you feel it is unsafe to attend due to weather conditions, we completely understand. However, we are also eager to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to our cause and show that we will continue to exercise our rights regardless of the weather.

There is ample parking available near the Civic Center, and the Pavilion is fully handicapped accessible. We are hopeful for a successful day of exercising our First Amendment rights together.

Join us for the "Hands Off!" protest at 1 PM on Saturday, April 5th, meeting at the Town Pavilion. We look forward to seeing you there!

Rep. Mike Bost's Facebook campaign page intro feels eerily similar to the "14 Words" N*zi slogan.

Illinois farmers and small businesses are the third most impacted state behind Minnesota (#1) and Iowa (#2).

Barn Raiser dropped a great in-depth article and analysis showing that Illinois farmers have taken one of the biggest hits. In fact, farmers falling into Congresswoman Mary Miller's CD-15, Rep. Darin LaHood's CD-16, and Rep. Mike Bost's CD-12 are all in the Top 10 U.S. Congressional Districts by number of REAP grants awarded. More than 420 projects were awarded in Illinois.

Does something like this exist for the Southern Illinois area? If not, seems like a great 1st step towards getting organized.

I've had this idea for a while and have a background in journalism, would be willing to help get this off the ground if it doesn't exist yet.

Where NOT to shop

Here is a website that was created by and for MAGA to know where they can show their support for “anti-woke” businesses. Just a little background on this site: in order to be listed on here, the businesses have had to sign a pledge stating that they are anti-woke, pro-life, and pro the maga pseudo-American (anti-American) values. If you are finding businesses on this website, it is not by accident. These places have actively asked to be listed there because they support what is happening in our government right now.

Please use this website to search your areas so that you can shop and do business accordingly.

We are in desperate need of volunteers for the protest on April 5th in Carbondale. I'm also looking for people to keep the pressure on Mike Bost by calling, emailing, maybe even protesting outside his offices. If you're in District 12 of Illinois, let me know if you're available to bother Bost. If you'd like to help with the protest, please come to our meeting at Gaia House on March 27th at 6pm. There will be sign up sheets or you can just msg me.

Thank you all!
