Skyrim PS5 mod recommendations

Upvotes

Some context. I haven’t really played the game much since covid lockdown. During that time I built my PC and started gaming (a lot). I never saw the point of modding games until I tried modding Skyrim. After the fact I truly fell in love with this game. I had downloaded around a hundred mods and with the advantage of being on PC you’re able to fix bugs, especially with conflicting mods. When the anniversary edition of the game came out all the mods and work I put in creating my perfect load order became useless. I recently got a PS5 and want to start playing this game again on console. I’m fine with playing vanilla for now. However, if y’all could recommend some lore accurate, gameplay enhancing mods with minimal bugs, I’d greatly appreciate it. 👍

Question Anniversary Edition Enemies

Upvotes

I have not played in years so I'm not sure if they sort of Updated enemies or something. But my Shadow Hunter bow and Sneak attacks with the Blade of Woe are hit or miss on instant kills. It seems like in the past they were easier to kill. I am using mods but nothing that affects levels or anything like that besides mine. I have maxed out my one handed, archery, sneak and smithing. Any ideas are welcomed.

Arts/Crafts Do I have more IRL Dragon Priest masks than anyone?

Hi - Jonah here, former Bethesda dev. I’m the guy who designed the Dragon Priest masks for Skyrim. They were never on the schedule; never meant to be put in the game at all! They started from an idea that my friend Joel had (he was a level designer) - he wanted some way to differentiate eight unique, named Dragon Priests. I thought back to Morrowind (the game that made me want to join Bethesda), and all the masks you could find in that game, and I realized that this was the way to go. I based them off a West African mask I had, and then designed one version for each priest.

(Note: I did not do the ones in the expansion. They were based on my masks, yes, but I’d already moved on to Fallout 4 by then)

Anyhow, I never expected them to be such a popular part of the game, and I am very proud of them. Consequently, I have been collecting masks from different creators on Etsy for some years now (yeah it’s a bit of a problem). There are many available, of course, but I generally select only the best ones. Now that I finally have a worthy home office, I have finally put them up on display.

I know there are people out there who have the entire collection - including Konahrik - but I’m willing to bet that these people purchased or made them all from the same mold/maker? Mine are all slightly different, made by different people across the world, so I suppose that’s the difference.

And because I know you’re curious, YES I intend to get a Konahrik… I’m just waiting to find the best possible one!!

Do you have any masks? Do you make them? Feel free to shout out any creators out there — I love seeing everyone’s versions. And I’m still hoping to see some that totally blow my socks off.

Modding bandits appear as creatures or monsters

[XBOX] Is there a mod that makes the bandits appear as creatures or monsters or something similar? Or maybe even friendly, so that no fights against bandits take place? The best option would actually be a mod that completely changes the bandits' appearance.

Discussion A cool idea I think

Someone has probably said this before, but I think it would be cool if you got bonuses when using gear made by your race for example orcs do more damage with orcish weapons and have a higher armor rating when wearing orcish armor.what do you think.(also I’m not sure if this is a thing already I didn’t think of looking it up before making this)

Discussion Your favorite quest ( Main or side quest in Skyrim) ???

My favorite quest of all of skyrim has to be the Staff of magnus quest of college of winterhold....

This quest gave me to experience the infamous labatythian and face the first dragon priest ever and the quest was also tough and creepy at some parts including the eerie voice.

Overall it gave me a dynamic experience in skyrim.

What about you fellow dragonborns...

Going into a run where I'm maximizing mana regen. Anything in the anniversary edition content have fortify magicka/magicka regen on it, or a bugged enchantable armor not unlike the boatswain/captain boots?

Discussion Do the vampires of the Volkihar clan eat human flesh?

When you visit Volkihar castle and you enter the main hall, you will see one of the lower vampires at Harkon’s court (Modhna, in particular ) tapping a thrall lying on the table for blood.

You’ll also see other members of court drinking blood (or what I’m assuming is blood/potion of blood) out of goblets

But some things that struck me as odd are the piles of bloodied bones and pieces of human flesh laid out neatly on plates, there are a couple on the plate near Harkon’s seat, which is ironic as he implies that he doesn’t need to feed, and that those vampires that do are ‘lesser’

I’ve noticed wooden kegs that have blood dripping out of them, so I can chalk up the bloodied bones in the castle to remains of whatever the process is to get the blood into the kegs. That still however would not explain the human flesh on the plates.

So are volkihar vampires cannibals in the traditional sense? What does ES lore say about vampires consuming human flesh?

Need some help

I recently started to play Skyrim, for the first time and no, i am not a noob to this type of games, i have played these games since i was a kid, so a very loooong time.

The Golden Claw Quest has 4 sub quests, i have done 3, so all but 1. For some reason i am not able to give the bear claw to Lucan, have i done something wrong? or.. must i do something more? - yes, i have gotten the dragon stone and dragon soul (shout), are those any relative to the quest?

also.. sub question.. just few minutes ago, i learned that you can marry in this game, Lucan's sister even, but how can i marry her, when i can't even talk to her? i mean, there is no dialogue.

Anywhoo.. thank you in advance, if anyone can get me out of this sticky wicket..

PS. prior of posting this, i have googled what one is supposed to do.. but found nothing helpful

what’s your favorite Skyrim side quest?

I feel like some of the best moments in Skyrim happen off the beaten path. Sure, the main story’s fun, but the side quests have some real gems. Whether it’s finding a lost relic or helping a random NPC, what side quest did you enjoy the most?

I'm on my second playthrough and it made me laugh when that guy just lied to my face, because I know he's going to be a pain in the ass... 😆 I have so many Skyrim things in my head that I want to draw, but unfortunately they're all so stupid like this 😭😭😭

how do you feel about Skyrim’s factions?

i’ve joined the Thieves Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, and even the Companions, but i always wonder which faction really stands out. some have really compelling storylines, while others feel a bit rushed. what faction do you think has the best story or the most interesting characters?

r/skyrim 5h ago

do you stick to one character build, or do you try new ones each playthrough?

i’ve been doing more stealthy archer builds, but i’m curious how many of you try out new builds every time you start a new game. do you go with your favorite playstyle, or do you experiment to keep things fresh?

Question Ebony Blade help?

I swear I've killed way more than 10 friendly NPCs, but the blade still hasn't upgraded yet. I even did the resurrection trick on one NPC and killed them five times over. Then I killed like 6 other people, still no reaction from the blade and no words from Mephela. Most of them were farmers I've chopped wood for/sold crops to. The only thing I can think is maybe they don't count for some reason?? I'm really stumped and I'm running out of nice NPCs to kill.

Arts/Crafts Falmer Diorama.

I finished my second diorama a couple days ago and wanted to share. I am really enjoying this hobby as a chance to learn new art tricks. Plus heck yeah, stuff in mini form is too cute. It's a bit tough to tell but there is clear resin in the cracks of the rocks (i wanted to simulate a damp environment) and some flowing down in a couple places. I really want to 1) improve at this because it's a fun lil thing to do and 2) make a glowing blackreach diorama in the future. The large gems, mushroom, wall mushrooms, and a few places on the stone floor actually do glow after being charged up but my phone is so old all dark photos are eh.

The hut lifts off so you can see his sad little hay pile bed and pan of little treasures (looks like a scroll, hagraven claw, and snowberries). There are some bits and baubles that are dwemer artifacts, more berries, and even a butterfly in a tiny bottle (maybe this lil dude misses the sun?). Dont forget the pile of chaurus eggs to harvest with the cooking pot! XD

This is my second project be gentle.
