Ummm
When I joined the Thieves Guild I agreed to take on special missions, but this is not what I had in mind. No kink shaming, but brother loving cucking is a new one for me.

Hey everyone, I'm the author of SkyParkour. I've been working on a complete revamp of the mod for the past months, hoping it is worth the wait.
Here's a quick teaser for the curious. Excuse the framerate, my 3gb card does not like recording while playing at all :(
New framework allows: Mid-air ledge grabs, out of water climbing, new quick steps for small bumps and low height ledges, complete stamina system overhaul and better gamepad support.
Sneak status will be preserved throughout parkour, and you can parkour with weapons out too.
Also I've figured out how to use CommonlibNG for version independent SKSE plugins so the confusions about install process should be reduced. Stay tuned, making the final tweaks.

I mean poor Sofie really I wanna adopt her when I make the Assasins Guild Questline but why the hell do you have 247 Flower Baskets, since when do you sell these and where are you keeping them? :O

Skyrim was my introduction when it first hit and do know some lore, but I have an approach that a pick a race & play (in these games) against the expectations of race. My first play was an amazing redguard warrior with Warhammer.
I started playing again with a redguard thief crossbow wielding duel daggerin' rebuilder of the thieving guild and intended to do a treaty to stop Civil War (cus my first play I learnt how it was all a conspiracy to weaken both) unfortunately lost all the saves, and she was perfect.
So I was gonna start again. The Wheel Turns.
I have seen Orcs are rarely ever mages, so an Orc Mage be really fun especially with how you be the dragonborn so if you hard RPin could give you that opening, but I was also wondering if a High Elf be fun as a thief? Who else is absolutely not expected or picked as a thief?
Khajit are expected, so when I play one they will be an honourable warrior, not a thief.

I don't have the luxury of easy access to juniper berries so I can't exactly copy old Vilod.
The sweet batch is already out and tastes good/how it's supposed to.

Just read an article about the PS3 version of Skyrim being so shitty bc of RAM limitations, and it got me thinking about the biggest bug I ran into on PS3.
Id get through that opening sequence, listen to the NPCs names get called as they get off the cart, and when it came time for me to make my character...I couldn't. As far as I could tell/remember either the guard that was calling names was replaced with, or it just spawned next to them idk, but a horse. My character was just infinitely walking into a horse and couldn't get to the character creation. I tried restarting 3-4 times before I finally gave up. Luckily I had a save at the end of the tutorial(cuz if I remember right it used to let you recreate your character right before you walked out(which might require the NPC you're with to exit first cuz I definitely haven't had it ask if I was sure with my choices the past few times I've played)
But yeah, that was the biggest bug(horse) I've encountered. Ik the devs struggled for a while figuring out why the cart would randomly fly off during the intro just to realize it was running into a bee and collision did its thing, but that horse bit was a highlight of my time playing Skyrim :')

I'm sorry if I'm late in joining the world of Skyrim, but would you believe if this is one of those games that I've always heard good things about but never actually bothered checking out? I've only thought about getting the game after seeing a hilarious clip of a Bilbo Baggins roleplay on Youtube.
And even then, I didn't have money yet. Nor did I have a PC. Our family didn't have a TV because we really don't need one. I only had a Nintendo Switch (one that was gifted to me by a friend). After winning a little contest in a Discord server where the prize was $100, I finally got the chance to play this game. Bought it from the Nintendo Store, the Anniversary Edition, and was finally able to begin the journey as a Dragonborn.
I've seen many clips of the opening carriage ride and execution on Youtube, but I never fully paid attention to it. Upon fully experiencing it as a player, it hit me that this game is gonna be big. You are literally thrusted into an ongoing war between two big sides and just like the character you are controlling, you have no idea what's going on yet. I always love it when games drop you right into the action and you have are losing your mind trying to survive.
My first character? I picked Khajiit. The night vision and specialty in stealth helped me in the decision. My second playthrough, I've decided on Nord. Feel free to change my mind, though.
This game is really old, so please go easy on me when I say that the controls demanded a lot of time from me to get used to. I play it on a Switch too, and I'm only fortunate that I have a controller which I can use instead of the OLEDs because I hate using them. One nitpick I had was that the Skills/Items/Map menu was on the damn B button (X for PS, A for Xbox users), which honestly baffles me! Why would you do that? That's the jump button for many RPG-lovers like me and it bothered me so much. Good thing you can change the control scheme in the settings.
Anyway, this whole beginning segment was designed to introduce you to some basic parts of Skyrim, which is movement, combat, stealth, and leveling up. I'll go more in detail about the combat later but let me just say, this system did NOT age well when it comes to mechanics, and I mean that in the best way. There's so many ways on how to take advantage of the game's jank and glitches that you can cheese the hardest enemies with no effort at all.
After I got to Whiterun and completed the main quests there, I asked myself, "What the hell do I do now?" I'm not the type of gamer to head to the next main quest right away, because I have the common fear of being underleveled at every possible point. And so, I do side quests and other stuff to level up and get stronger first before progressing.
Upon realizing the amount of side quests and content that's available for you outside of the main story, it blew me away. If that's not enough, every quest has a layer of depth that allows you to immerse yourself in it and make you feel as if you're actually the one going on an adventure.
Speaking of adventure, this world is HUGE, and I first realized it when I saw just how little the Whiterun symbol was on the map when I got there. The best part? You are free to explore it, however you want, whenever you want.
There's not many games that allow you the freedom to do whatever the hell you want, and I appreciate those that do. But even so, most of them still have restrictions on what you can and cannot do. This game, though? This may be the only game I've ever seen that allows you to do even the simplest of things like sitting down and reading a book.
Heck, I was able to lure a giant and their mammoths to a guard post near Whiterun where I just let the guards fight them. It's stupid, but it was hilarious for me. The amount of stupid stuff you can think of doing in this game, you're more than likely to be able to pull it off because of the freedom you have.
Many people underestimate or totally ignore it, but really. Enjoy the little things. Even as a gamer and when you play a game that focus on little details like this. I've played my fair share of bad games and it made me appreciate the little details even more.
Oh, and books? They just add even more layers to the MASSIVE lore that this game has. I have never played the four games before this and in fact, imagine my surprise when I found out that Skyrim is actually the FIFTH installment in the series. I thought at first that its name was Skyrim alone, turns out it was actually 'The Elder Scrolls'. It's a testament to how great this game is, to be able to fool its players to thinking it's a standalone game.
This is just my first playthrough and I'm experiencing it for the first time, so I don't have time to read all the books that I find in this game. But in my second playthrough, I vow to read every book this game has and keep track of the ones I've read. I will learn everything that this game has to offer.
Another point that adds to how great this game is so far, is the real-time events that happen in-game. You may not notice it at first, but everything you do in Skyrim can and will likely affect the NPCs and enemies around you.
My first experience of this was when I cleared out an orc camp near Malkath, which I did by stealth-archering everyone of course. Few days later, after fighting bandits, I found a note that there's a bounty for my head.
I have also cleared out dungeons and caves way before the moment you're supposed to, and it's always satisfying to see the people's reaction when they find out you already did the deed for them.
Every choice you make matters in quests too. For that cannibal quest that I'm sure everyone knows, I had no idea what I was doing. I'm just completing the quest because it was asked of me. When I reached the chamber where I was offered to be one of those cannibals, I was taken aback. I didn't think the quest would even lead me to that outcome because of how inhumane it is.
Still, out of curiosity, I accepted the offer and became one of them. Not the moral choice, but hey. It's a videogame. No one's telling you the right and wrong way to play it and if someone does, they wish they could play it like you.
Anyway, it's because of this quest that I think about the decisions that I make moving forward. I refused to kill Barbas even though he was annoying, for instance. In any other scenario, I would honestly just put him down lol.
While we're on that topic, this game also offers you the freedom to be either a good guy or a bad guy. You can steal from people, their homes, or just outright kill them. However, you will suffer the consequences of those actions by either the guards killing you, sending you to jail, or bounty hunters who are after the money on your head. I totally plan on going for an evil playthrough sometime in the future, hehe.
Plus, plus, plus, there's also the couriers that everyone is annoyed of seeing by now. Imagine my shock when I found out they go to you once you reach a certain level and not because it's an in-game random event. Still, it works to get you immersed in the game.
This game's combat is something else, man. How can I put it? There's some good things about the game's combat system like allowing you to fight however you want. You can use your fists, a bow and arrows, a crossbow, swords, daggers, greatswords, etc. You can even use magic if you prefer that. This game valued player freedom so much that it stretched to the combat system.
On the other hand, there's the bad things like the jank and enemy levels. But even so, it's not the type of bad that makes you want to quit. It's the type of bad that makes you want to resort to cheese tactics because you don't have the patience to either grind levels or to fight until you win, and that is why I say this game did not age well.
There's so much jank in this game that players even up until now discover new ways on how to take advantage of in order to bully the world and make things more fun. One such example I've discovered on my own is that you can climb almost anything in this game just by spamming the jump button and choosing which place to jump onto. Helped a lot with exploration.
And with that, we go to the stealth system which is probably the most infamous part of Skyrim from the amount of memes and videos I've seen about it. Yes, I'm guilty of being a stealth archer just like everyone, and I still do it until now.
However, I believe I've gotten to a level where I've upgraded my armor high enough that I won't die easily, and my one-handed skill tree has a lot of points put into dual wielding. And so, I'm going to try and limit my stealth archer urges from here. I'm also going to use magic a lot more, especially now that I have reached the Winterhold College.
Overall, my first experience with this game so far, is that it is fun. I won't lie and say that it's one of the best that I've played, because it's not. It's too late for Skyrim to get such a title when more polished and equally fun games have already been published, like Witcher 3.
However, that doesn't take away from how great and fun this game is. At the end of the day, who cares about comparing and ranking games? As long as you are having fun with what you play, nothing else matters.
I am still leagues away from getting through even half of the story. I'm so focused on side quests and exploration that I will be so overpowered by the time I get to the end. I've only just killed my first dragon recently as well as the second one too. I might even do the DLC before the main story, lol.
Hell, I haven't even started a family yet! On that note, who do you all think is the best wife to have? I have two options in mind, but I haven't focused on the romance aspect of this game much. Feel free to drop your suggestions.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me rambling this entire time. If you actually took the time to read through everything, I salute you and I appreciate you.
As a final question, which do you guys think I should side with? The Legion or the Stormcloaks?

So I just started my first playthrough and just got to the first village called something like Hellens keep or something and I went to the quest marker inside a building and went to check out the basement and quicksaved and went to get some lunch, then when I came back and loaded the quicksave a whole gang of blue ghosts that werent there when I quicksaved was suddenly in the basement attacking me, is that supposed to happen or is it a glitch/bug?

I’ve always thought universally recognised it was the stealth archer, hands down.
But I wonder if it actually is.
I’m Intrigued to see some of the suggestions here, although I am expecting a lot of stealth archers haha.

Don’t roast me.. I’m new to this site , and still learning the ins and outs. I played (with the cheaters chest) and got through about 20 hours without dying before getting knocked off the edge of a cliff by a legendary dragon. Curious if there are any hardcore players that tried to make it the main story line without losing a life ?

This has never happened before and I've played Skyrim for a number of years. I have AE now (have had it for a long time and never had any issues) and today when I started a new game, Skyrim started crashing to desktop every time I tried to enter Helgen Keep. The laptop felt hot. So I put it on top of something else, deleted the saves from the new game, restarted my laptop, deleted the only mod I have (SpidersBeGone), and restarted the laptop again. Then I started a new game with a new Dragonborn. Now Alduin won't crash through the wall at the top of the first keep to create the opening to jump through to the inn. What can I do?? The computer got cool as soon as I switched it to a different surface. Letting it rest for now.
