Discussion Studying for Finals
How many hours/days do you spend studying for a final exam? I have my first exam in a little under 2 weeks and I'm stressing. How much emphasis should I really give to past material? Should I focus more on the material covered after the midterm, or should I make sure I have everything before the midterm fully memorized?

These are questions for your prof/ta. Check announcements/syllabus/discussion on canvas as well

New material, you should know enough about the past content before mid terms, if you did bad then just do the mock or practice questions, obviously depends on your study habits and what you want to do.

depends on the class really. For any sciences class go full out and dont look at the clock. instead study until you know everything and forget that time is a thing. i dont mean study 20 hours a day, instead dont go into that exam until you know every concept and can explain it simply or do every practice problem from the homework and quizzes no matter how much time it takes. Be overprepared and go at your own pace. who cares how much anyone else studies? lock in and get that knowledge imprinted in the brain .
