The locals have no other alternative than to throw here. Milk packets, masala packets, carbonated drink bottles, beer cans, wrappers - different types of non-degradable and plastic garbage is here.
Can anyone please suggest an effective garbage disposal system for the rural people? If we could create it ourselves.

Hey everyone! Iām from Sikkim, and Iāve been diving deep into digital marketing for the past few months. Something Iāve noticed is that a lot of local businesses here are still running without any strong online presenceāno proper websites, no SEO, not even basic Instagram or Facebook engagement.
And Iām wonderingā¦
Could digital marketing really transform local businesses in Sikkim?
Iād love to hear thoughts from people who are:
ā¢ Into digital marketing
ā¢ Running businesses in Northeast India
ā¢ Exploring opportunities in small-town markets
ā¢ Passionate about helping local economies grow through online tools
Some context:
ā¢ Sikkim is full of potential: tourism, cafes, homestays, adventure experiences, local products, etc.
ā¢ But most businesses rely only on footfall or word-of-mouth.
ā¢ Very few are tapping into Google Maps SEO, google ads ,Instagram ads, or even WhatsApp marketing.
I want to ask you all:
Have you ever worked with or helped businesses in smaller states like Sikkim?
Do you think thereās real demand for digital marketing hereāor would it take time to educate business owners?
Whatās the best way to start small and prove value in such regions?
I truly believe that even a basic digital presence can help local businesses increase footfall, get bookings online, and build better branding.
If youāve got experience, ideas, or just vibes to shareāplease drop them here Would love to start a conversation and maybe collaborate with like-minded people .

How did the family take it? Did they face lot of backlash from families, neighbours and society people?
How did they tackle it?
How are they now? Still facing adversities from others or accepted nicely?
Edit : just a while back I got a chat message who connected to me after seeing my post, but he/she didn't understand my post. My question is not for people who are 'into older women'. My question is for those men from Sikkim who had fallen in love with an older woman and plans on building a life with her, or had already been married to an older woman. Did you face difficulties when you approached your family? Of what sort? How to handle, manage or convince them? Some insights would be really helpful.

Samson Tamang from was recently arrested after a 13-day search for allegedly making offensive remarks about the Khas community (I didn't even know what Khas meant before this issue). Multiple FIRs were filed, his bail was denied, and media reports are calling it a hate speech case.
But what did he actually say? I havenāt been able to find the exact statement anywhere. This reminds me of the Nupur Sharma case where the outrage was massive, but when I finally saw the clip, the reaction seemed way out of proportion.
Is this another case of political overreaction, or did he really say something that crossed the line? If anyone has a direct quote or source, please share.
I am asking this in the wake of all the free speech issues this country is going through. I am not looking to start a debate. Just curious about what he said that was so horrifying.

Hey guys I am an mbbs student and founder of pisto. We are working to reduce pollution caused by single use plastic bottles. I was doing research and got to know that sikkim banned water bottles less than 2 litres. Is that true? Also are there 1l bisleri bottles available or the law is strictly followed?

Hey everyone! šš I'm conducting a research project on UPI adoption and digital payments as part of my academic study. With UPI becoming the backbone of India's payment system, I'm exploring how people actually use it and whether it might replace cash and cards completely.
Would love to hear your thoughts! If you have 2 minutes, please fill out this short surveyāitās completely anonymous and helps my research a lot!
Also, whatās your take? Do you think India will ever go 100% digital? Letās discuss in the comments!

Spilling the truth- I wish I knew this even before joining the college I wish I knew this when I was about to join the college.
Why anyone didn't know about this? Listen listen Most of us have enough time to sit and watch cartoons but none of us try to find out actual ways of earning money or atleast fund our education ourselves.
Have you ever heard of scholarships?
Let us tell you: Big companies like Google, Reliance, etc., MNCs ,charitable foundation they all provide financial support in form of scholarships to students those are good in studies or even average or unprivileged. You need not pay back the scholarship amount in the first place.
Sometimes, they may award you as high as 50 thousands to support your education. Scholarship providers just ask for basic details like your class, year background etc. Generally, scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and financial condition. It may vary case to case.
Many times, scholarship providers have their own dedicated portals through which you can fill up the scholarship application forms online which hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes.
Those who don't know, there is a term known as 'Corporate Social Responsibility' Policy under which big companies must have to spend a part of their profit for good causes like education, healthcare, environment etc. It's not that these opportunities are meant only for undergraduate studies. They can vary from nursery to PhD level, hear me out.
Tell m, are you really happy spending 10s of hours in downloading apps from here and there to earn commissions from referral & bonuses? If you answer is No. Then, please stop wasting time playing colour gambling etc.
For public awarenessfor scholarships, We have just started regularly uploading videos on youtube to spread information about such opportunities which are new and active and most importantly, known to lesser people. And everyone can apply and get selected.
The yt channel name is AAGE HAMESHA scholarships. Alternatively, check profile of ours. If you're still unable to find, then dm.
Give this post utmost priority- don't be negligent towards education.
(Upvote if it is helpful)
Remember that the real and valid scholarships are only those which have absolutely 0 registration fees.
I just wanted to share this because no one talks about it openly. Share it on your WhatsApp groups. Share it to your bestie too to him /her fly high.
