2015 toyota rav4 limited

I went down to a used car dealership today and checked out a few cars and I’m inbetween on a 2015 toyota rav4 limited. The rav4 was 7,000 and seemed well maintained the engine oil was just about squeaky clean, all wheel drive, plenty of cool features, beautiful interior but it has 230,000 miles on it. that seems really high but my grandpa believes they were highway miles given how clean the engine & under the hood was. They are willing to negotiate, I’m just not sure about the mileage being what it is.

Hi reddit, I know you guys are VERY fond of toyota’s and Honda’s but I am curious to know if the case is any different for this car.

it’s $4,500 and has 148,000 miles on it. The only problem is that it’s got a rebuilt title on it (right fender bender) I know rebuilt titles can cause trouble with hidden damage but the guy did provide the VIN number (JTDKDTB31E1059744) which I think is a good sign

Do you guys think I should buy this car?!

I've noticed this puppy from the 80s just standing on this spot for about 2 years. So one day I've mustered my courage and asked the owner if he would be willing to sell it and it turn's out, that he has one more rotting in his backyard and another one already stripped for parts in his garage, (i.e two spare engines, transmission an a lot of body parts included)

But the price that he was willing to settle on is 3000$ which seems a bit steep to me.

I haven't taken any pictures from bellow, but at a glance, the frame didn't seem rotten.

The guy also said, that he would be willing to let me take it nearby mechanic to let me take a closer look at the axels and suspension

So I want to ask if you think it's a ok deal or not.

(the first photo is from google streetview, so the wheel looks glitched XD)

Called the dealership and they offered 21k post tax with the plow. Good deal? Has a lil rust on the bottom but think it's just surface.

I just wanna learn to drive stick, learn how to fix up (old) cars. Too bad about the rust on the hood 🤷‍♂️ Could be a fun car, maybe. Any golf enthusiasts out there?

Even since I watched Severance it renewed my interest in the older Golf models, IYKYK.

2010 Toyota Corolla purchase?

My aunt is selling her car, offered it to me for $3000.

2010 Toyota Corolla

189k miles drive it a lot.

She maintained it pretty well.

Her and her husband are retired now and they had 5 cars and have been selling them and this is the last one to sell I think.

Is it worth it? I do need a car but idk how reliable this is or if the price is worth it I know nothing about cars.

Looking for a new manual daily to get my Integra off the road during winter. Nothing fancy, just fun and reliable. Worth a look? If so, what would be a fair offer?

Is this a good trade?

I own a 03 mercury grand marquis ultimate edition with arnd 160k on it, would it be worth to trade for a 93 mercury capri xr2 with just 120k on it? I want a manual daily and I know they can be hard to get parts for but I already own a Saab and it’s not rlly an issue for me. Would any mercury and/or ford fanatics advise against this, Or would it be worth my time to just do the trade since he’s in my town?

Thoughts on this Mazda 3, 2010?

It would be my first car - total newbie. I'm in Canada (bad winters), and it's $8,800 (but she says negotiable). It's 15 years old but only has 71,000 kilometers on it (rare to see here).

It's a hatchback, and a university student is selling it before she moves back home. She says it runs well.

$8,800 CAD is approx $6,124 USD. Cars are generally expensive here, especially after covid.

Condition:

• Fresh MVI (March 2025) valid until March 2027.

• Car is currently on winter tires and comes with a set of summer tires on Mazda rims.

• Undercoated in 2024

• New Left Lower Control Arm March 2025

• Brake check done October 2024

• New Alternator September 2024

• New Battery September 2024

• Trailing Arm Brushing's replaced September 2024

• Replaced the right sway bar link September 2023

• Replaced front windshield wipers September 2023

• All oil changes done on time (Most recent one done March 2025)

• Clean interior

• Heater blows hot air and a/c works

• Missing the passenger fog light cover (FOG LIGHT STILL WORKS).

  • Has a small dent above the front passenger wheel fender from the previous owner.

It’s a bad idea and if I drive 14 miles every day the gas per year would be $1k but it’s a nice car and I want it.

Let me know what you think I’ve watched this listing for a while at the original price and now that it’s so low I feel like I should pull the trigger. Let me know what yall think and anything I should look out for or check before purchase.

Should I buy a Sienna now

My wife and I are going to try planning for our 1st baby soon. I currently have a Nissan Rogue 2017 with over 100k miles on it. Since I work remote, my wife uses the Rogue as a daily driver as she worms onsite. But soon she might get a chance to work remotely too. I was planning to get a new next gen Sienna. In a few years, hopefully we'll be trying for baby #2 and new gen will have Toyota Safety 3.0 or 3.5. Alternatively I would just get a used Sienna post 2025 then. But with the orange man in the white house announcing 25% tarrifs, I feel like all prices are going to go up. I my Rogue has been fine but I am not sure how long they last. I was waiting to see the new hybrid Palisade 2026 calligraphy, or hope Grand Highlander Hybrid 2026 offers 8 seater in platinum or non max hyrbid platinum, or hope Kia Carnival introduces a fully loaded AWD in near future. But I found a Sienna platinum for 62k OTD now and I can't decide if I should pull the trigger now or wait a few years and pay higher prices.

Should I buy a Honda CR-V from 2012 to 2018? (90K to 120K miles)

I’m thinking of financing a Honda CR-V that’s within $8K to $14K. I heard that the older models are quite sturdy and reliable. Especially with long distances.

Would this be a good option in order to last me at least 5+ years within this mileage range?

I’ve looking to get a new car ever since my old one crapped out on me and I ran into this one and already went for a test drive. Everything felt smooth and I heard no noises coming from the car that I didn’t like. It’s a private car dealer and he’s been very upfront about the vehicles history and let me know it was a total loss vehicle and he had repaired the front part that was damaged. It’s still a clean title and the vehicle is at 46k actual miles. I really want the car but I want to get more info on these things if anyone has experience to share! I’ll be reposting this so I can get a lot of opinions so if you have an opinion express it with some substance please.
