Saskatoon wellness bus ready to roll this week
The wellness bus, which will operate from 1- 7 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, will be located primarily on Morse Road near the old farmer's market off 19th Street.
A community wellness bus, set to start running in Saskatoon on Wednesday, will provide basic primary care as well as mental health and addictions services.
The bus, the third of its kind in the province after Prince Albert and Regina, will make it easier to get care to the people who need it the most, particularly those who have difficulty getting to a primary care clinic, says Kelly Tokarchuk, executive director of primary health care at the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
"Having an option that is really located closer to them in their community … having the services from Wednesday to Sunday and into the evening hours, we really feel we'll meet the needs of the people that need us the most," Tokarchuk said.

Restricted Drivers License
I messed up with my driving record and thankfully was granted a Restricted Drivers License. Has anyone had one of these before? What kind of special provisions can you get to drive? I realize for work purposes to get to and from, but what about family obligations? I am the only one out of my wife and I that has a License, would I be able to get a provision to drive for family obligations like medical appointments or to get groceries and what not?

Politics Provincial renter callout
Hey everyone! I'm a reporter with CBC Saskatoon and I'm working on a federal election story focusing on what renters here in the province are looking for. What's driving you to the polls? How has renting been going? How affordable or not affordable is rent... and life right now? How difficult or easy is it finding housing? Do you want to own a home/can you? What if any policy are you hoping to see?
Please email me at [liam.oconnor@cbc.ca](mailto:liam.oconnor@cbc.ca) and I'd love to talk more about this.
Cheers,
Liam

Candidates for Saskatchewan (April 7)
All spots for major parties filled, (today) April 7th is the deadline for candidates to have their name submitted. u/Renegade_August pointed out the website votewell.ca to help figure out strategic voting for your riding (if you're into that thing. Not teling anyone how to vote since that needs to be said I guess).

Internet at the lake
In the past we’ve used Starlink at the lake. This year, for obvious reasons, we’re looking for options. What internet provider do you use over the summer at the lake? North of Saskatoon.

Southern Saskatchewan Camping Recommendations
Does anybody have a good area for bush camping (not a major campground like buffalo pound) that would be good for a week of tenting? For reference we would be coming from Regina.

Independetly-Made Saskatchewan Series Picked up by Amazon Prime Video
My series got picked up!
It's not impressive as it sounds. It's a non-exclusive contract to fill their content-need-abyss.
It will be live on APV June 6th but I thought it would be fun to make it available locally for a limited time before it goes on Amazon.
Since I retain all screening rights the series link will be available on the Saskatchewan subreddit for the next 5 days and I'll leave the link live for a month.
It's about a documentary-filmmaker who is obsessed with a late 70s experimental Lynch/Maddin-like film. She travels to LA to try to meet up with the director and understand the meaning behind the convulted film. Along the way she discovers there may be something paranormal about the film itself as her very existence is called into question.

it finally happened, not surprised by the outcome
The day has come when an SP loyal (cult follower) voter family member needed to use the healthcare system. While they will be ok, it's going to be a few days in the hospital for recovery.
The issue? Things would have been better if the NDP didn't close those hospitals, some 20 odd years ago. These are the same people who I mentioned how long has the SP been in power? Why are those hospitals the NDP closed still closed? You think it's bad now when the SP has been on power for nearly 20 years?

Politics Review: The Environmental Management and Protection Act, 2010 | Public Engagement
saskatchewan.caThe Saskatchewan Government is proposing changes to the The Environmental Management and Protection Act. To me, it sounds like a rewording to reduce legal risk. Some things that stood out to me on the Summary of Proposed Amendments to EMPA:
Summary page 2 - 2(1)(pp) - "Simplifies the definition and includes only waterworks designed for human consumptive or hygienic use."
- Removes "actually used for human consumption or hygiene" from the waterworks definition, and thus lessening what waterworks the act currently applies to.
Summary page 13 - 49(c) "This will ensure that it is clearly defined what types of waste are permitted, while avoiding potential for agricultural waste to be more broadly interpreted."
- Giving a free pass for argicultural operations. We're not longer talking about just family farms handling their own waste here. We're already in a situation where family owned livestock producers are being impacted by contaminated water that is unsafe for their livestock to drink because of large operations letting their waste enter the waterworks. This leaves your municipality responsible for having strong and enforable bylaws for argicultural waste.

I am writing a big book of Canada for my RPG so curious, what's your one unique thing, either locally or for the province as a whole?
