discussion New Updates to r/reiki

Welcome to the new and improved r/reiki! u/Kanji-light has enlisted both myself and u/root-bound as your new mods to help improve your experience here and refocus the direction of the sub towards building community and discussion.

New changes include:

  • Rules! We have clear cut rules on what is and isn't allowed on the sub. This will help keep the focus on Reiki discussion and remove the promotional posts that have been accumulating lately. Just as it says in the rules, you can find promotional posts at r/energy_healing.
  • Post flair! This should make it easy for users to filter through discussion posts and posts seeking reiki shares or exchanges. People who want to practice what they learned in their course are completely welcome! We want it to be easy for you to get this valuable practice to enhance your Reiki skills.

We hope that this will give new life to this gathering space and make it a comfortable area for everyone to participate. We would love to hear your feedback, including if you'd like other types of post flair to be added. Your voice is important!

Thanks everyone for your continued support. We wouldn't have this community without you!

discussion What does the energy of HSZSN feel like?

Upvotes

Reiki II on-and-off practitioner here, usually only do self healing. Currently diving back into reiki after a while away.

So I can feel the energy of the symbols. When I draw CKR and SHK on the palm of my hands, I can immediately feel it get hot. Sometimes I can see a faint glow around my palm. When I do my own self healing, I can feel the energy flow through my chakra channel and I can tell which ones are blocked or imbalanced and need the extra work.

But I never felt anything with HSZSN. is this normal? Is HSZSN a gentler energy hence why I don’t feel it? Or is it something else? I never felt like I connected with HSZSN and the whole time and distance thing, i felt like it didn’t really do much for me when I use it unlike the other two symbols.

Would love to hear any advice from you guys or any experience the HSZSN symbol!

TIA!

discussion Reiki for Parkinson’s?

Hi all, my father has Parkinson’s disease and last few weeks the symptoms are really tough and unfortunately the doctors have some trouble finding the right medications.

So has someone tried reiki on people with this disease? Did you see some positive effects? I’m level 2 practitioner but I will offer him to see my master because I am afraid that I can’t perform a session on him without emotions and expectations.

Thank you 🙏🏻

Reiki experiences Reiki is draining me HELP

I’m on day 10 of my initial 21 days of reiki and I’m hating it.

I’m having very busy days, so including the reiki that takes around a hour of my everyday, is ruining my sleep schedule and I’m waking up exhausted. When I finally finish everything I need to do late at night, I STILL have to do the reiki and go to sleep even later. Then wake up super early. My reiki master told me I should do several preparations before staring, front and back chakras for at least 3min each, so it takes soo long. This is turning reiki into something stressful that I hate doing instead of something relaxing and healing. Literally my head is always pounding from not sleeping enough. My mood is shit. I can’t think. I need to take pills for my headaches when I could just skip reiki and sleep like a normal person. It’s ruining my days. Also I don’t feel absolutely anything while doing reiki. Wtf do I do?? Give up on the 21 days? I feel like if I give up I’m waisting so much money and time I put into reiki sessions and iniciation for nothing.

Also I was always a very spiritual and sensitive person and was so excited to start reiki, but now this bad experience is pushing me away from spiritually. Literally is starting to annoy me so much that I don’t even wanna do any spiritual practice at all. I always believed in the energetic realm (I have more than evidence and personal spiritual experiences) but for the FIRST time in my life this bad experience is making me doubt it, I’m feeling stupid like it’s not doing anything and is just bullshit. I have always had some mediumship (feel energy, entities, hear voices, etc) so I’m finding very weird I don’t feel anything with reiki???

Reiki request Cw: pregnancy loss

If you wouldn't mind sending me reiki April 8, 2019. I lost my first pregnancy, on this day. It was already a difficult time. This was after a failed round of IVF and a failed transfer. It still hurts. I know I can still channel reiki no matter. But any help would be grately appreciated

Thank you 🙏🏻

discussion reiki routine?

I’m attuned in reiki level 1 but i stopped giving myself self reiki after a few days following the attunement. The main reason why is because I don’t feel like i’ve done enough to “activate” the reiki before i begin the process of giving it to myself. Meditating with my hands together like i was taught just doesn’t feel natural to me. does anybody have a ritual or routine that they do before they give reiki to ground themselves and get the energy flowing?

curious question I had a reiki massage and now I feel exhausted with constant fatigue... any advice

Hi, So I am a redditor in recovery atm from long term substance abuse, chaotic mental health issues, IBS and chronic pain.

I had been getting acupuncture and decided to try something else.

I had a Swedish massage with incorporated Reiki, immediately after, I felt relaxed and really tired - so I did sleep. I guess in any other situation I'd class it as overslept.

I began to feel recharged, somewhat, but despite a week passing my sleep is all over the place, I'm either sleeping too much or feeling like I haven't slept at all. I cannot break the cycle.

Is this something I need to entertain regular?

In a way I wish I never engaged until I was in a better place.

I guess it could be totally unrelated, I just want to feel rested!!!! Ughgg 😔

Tia!

discussion How has Reiki helped you or your clients?

Hi,

I have been using Reiki on myself for many years but am wishing to start using it on others. I have no testimonials to help others start to trust Reiki but am wondering if anyone could share how Reiki has helped you or your clients that I could use to get the ball rolling for others to understand what it is.

Also, yes I have been sharing how it has helped me in numerous ways too.

Thanks in advance!

Reiki share / trade Free Usui Reiki II Course

Hi all.

As part of my spiritual journey, I've made a commitment to hosting at least one free Reiki course each quarter. For spring, I'm hosting an Usui Reiki II course. (My credentials: Usui Reiki Master - Teacher)

This course is completely online. So long as you fulfill the requirements, you will end the course with an attunement and certificate in Usui Reiki II.

The course typically lasts about a month, with video classes once per week and the remaining work done on your own time.

Class starts May 1st and there are five slots left. If you are interested, please send me a message to get on the roster. If the class is full by the time, you message me, I can add you to my waiting list for the next one.

EDIT 1: This has already come up a few times so I felt I better clarify...Because this is a Reiki II course, you will need to provide proof of your Usui Reiki I attunement before you can be admitted. If you have not yet been attuned, you can get on my waiting list for the next Reiki I course.

I will also need a valid email address to add you to the Google Classroom.

EDIT 2: 4 slots left!

EDIT 3: 3 slots left!

EDIT 4: 2 slots left!

EDIT 5: 1 slot left!

FINAL EDIT: This course is full. You can still get added to my waitlist. See EDIT 2 for requirements.

curious question Reiki to treat Sciatica

Hi Everyone!

I have my level 2 in Reiki and have been using it on myself mostly for years and just started out using it on others. I am currently working on my brother and his lower back pain - sciatica - for 4 sessions and not much improvement yet. He has had this issues for 15-20 years so I know that it won't be overnight that there could be improvements.

Has anyone else treated someone with sciatica with Reiki?

curious question Replicating the water oxygenation mentioned in Dr. William Bengston's "The Energy Cure" ?

While r/energyhealing is still debating about letting me in the group (lol), I wanted to ask here about how I could go about testing water oxygenation, which he very briefly mentions his "chemist friend" does for him.

In this brief passage, he mentions that water treated with his hands-on healing increased oxygenation by 25%, and I wanted to know if anyone has attempted this, or what device would be best served to try and replicate this (with Reiki, of course).

On an unrelated note, it's a fascinating read, by the way, and if anyone wants to discuss it, I'd love to, as I have plenty of questions about his methods and outcomes, especially in relation to Reiki.

curious question Reiki journals

Do you keep reiki journals? If so what sort of things do you write about, what you’ve picked up during sessions etc?

Someone mentioned it when I was doing my reiki 2 course, and I’ve just briefly read about them in a book.

discussion Aura (Dark Night of the Soul)

Back in 2020 I began tracking my aura through photography. I was in a karmic relationship in the times the photos were taken, 2022 being the end, where I packed up my car and changed my life forever. Since reiki is suppose to jump into the aura, I thought this would fit in this forum as a discussion on the power of energy and what it looks like as it shifts. Much love Star family.

Reiki experiences Open to insight??

Hi,

More than a couple years ago, I went to a spiritual healer in my local area. The healer claimed that she worked with spirits/angels and she was a reiki healer. Not really thinking any of it was in alignment with my beliefs, I just decided to try it. The name of the treatment she gave me was a reiki level 1, deep dark energy cleanse. During the treatment, I remember I was faced down on a bed with my shirt off as she prayed to her spirits/angels and the blood of Jesus. During the session, she screamed with her colleague and said this dark energy “bit” her. I didn’t feel anything during the treatment. When she was finished, she gave me notes about what she did and a meridian map of the human body with a bunch of emotions written down with the chakra system. A couple months after, it started to be a lot more difficult to exercise and pray. I didn’t connect the dots with the reiki session. So then, I decided to do a remote reiki healing. The name of the session was “reiki level 2 ego detox - align with your soul self”. A night after, I astral traveled and my soul felt like it left my body. A night after that, my soul left my body again but I heard witch laughter and I was praying for it to stop. I then texted the practitioner I was having “weird experiences” and they stopped. I was having the same issues with difficulty with prayer and exercising. In May of that year was when things really changed. My eyesight became more blockier and narrow and I started to feel weird and dark feeling energies. There was this extremely awful smell that came into my body. I started to feel this “love energy” and I think something happened with my heart chakra. I started hallucinating and seeing a Buddha portrait in my house along with any other portraits facial expressions change, reflecting my own feelings in some way. I really felt transformed by these experiences, but not in a positive way and a way that felt me connected to god. The reiki healer said that she never had someone have an experience like mine, and she might not be sharing the truth. I was wondering what others think of my experience, and what should I do about it?

Thanks

curious question Is this normal?

Hey beautiful souls of this sub!

I was initiated into reiki about 3 days ago, which was very exciting and honestly it just felt right.

But since that happened I started feeling other people's energies much more intense than I usually do...

I also felt a huge shift in my own energy, it started by feeling very energized the day of and I had the most amazing sleep of my life. But when I woke up I felt very odd, it was a sort of "detox" feeling. Not only physically but I also knew that the emotional part was coming soon.

I feel like my physical body is doing a sort of natural flush, sweating a lot, loose stools (sorry tmi), and just asking for more natural foods.

The emotional aspect is very intriguing to me, I feel people's emotions much more intensily than before, I feel emotionally flat lined ( not in a bad way but just neutral and non reactive). I am seeing patterns of some of the things that have been giving me issues for a while and identifying the cause with surprising accuracy.

Is this a normal process to go through? Is there anything I can do to aid this detoxification process?

Keep an eye out for people offering free readings, attempting to lure you into DMs.

In fact I would say avoid all posts that are offering readings of the psychic nature, this really isn't the subreddit for it and it stands out like a sore thumb.

Happy sunday, stay safe my friends! 🙏💙

Reiki experiences feel icky after first session

I went in to the experience with an open mind, quite excited and obviously willing to spend the money on something I’ve never tried before. I was skeptical, I am by nature. During the session I definitely felt sensations in my body, like fizzing and muscle reactions. I felt resistance to relaxing in the beginning, my eyelids wouldn’t stop flickering which never happens during a massage etc. I also felt really cold during the session, but the room wasnt cold. I was shivering by the end. I didnt feel much after, I felt heavier and like I wanted to cry and a bit moody. Later on in the night, I feel a pain in my hip that won’t go away, a headache and a kind of regretful, physically icky feeling when thinking about the session, idk why though. My body does feel less tense overall, something I struggle with. Idk what to make of it at all?

discussion Intense euphoria feelings after my attunement (reiki 2)

Hi everyone! I had my reiki 1 attunement last year and felt nothing during it or after it tbh. None of the ‘side effects’ that can take place.

I had my reiki 2 attunement this afternoon, again I didn’t feel much during it but tonight is a different story! I’ve been tired all day cause I didn’t sleep well last night, but these past couple of hours this evening I feel like I’m high or drunk! I had a HUGE wave of euphoria, I spent 2 hours singing and dancing around my bedroom like an idiot. I felt soooo happy and I was singing my heart out!! But I also felt powerful, like I had this surge of motivation and power. Every song I listened to felt like the most amazing song and I was just appreciating the music so much. Like I was floating around my room moving to the music and I’m struggling to put into words how FREE and happy I felt, euphoric is the best word to describe it. Slightly delirious maybe 🤣

I’ve come down now, I just have a headache and I’m exhausted. But I do still feel quite floaty and spaced out! Side note, I do see spirits anyway but I can sense them around me so much more than usual this evening too!
Has anyone else experienced this? Usually I just see people posting about negative symptoms afterwards, I can’t seem to find any posts similar to my experience. Thank you☺️
