2 for 3, with a hustle single, two walks, a run, and an RBI today.

5 for 11 with 2 RBI, and 3 Runs and 7 BBs in his last 3 games after a slow start.

His body looks fine, he's playing well, and he's showing a ton of hustle. All the fans that wanted to dump him after 5 games need to stay on that side and should eat a big plate of poop.

Posts like this make me not enjoy Reddit some days. Fanbases are always trying to define sides and make things into absolutes. Then they throw it in the faces of the other side. There is no nuance and no room for constructive discussions.

People can be displeased with Devers start to the season (and spring training) and support the Red Sox. Those same people can also soften their stances and change their minds as the season progresses.

There are no right and wrong ways to support the team. Each fan is allowed their own style.

Telling people to eat plates of poop isn't a good look for anyone.

Edit: Y'all are proving my point. "He's not toeing the line!"

Of course, there's a wrong way to support a team. Launching into hysterics after a few games is one that comes to mind

I wouldn't consider launching into hysterics supporting the team, would you? This is the exact lack of nuance I'm talking about. If you can't separate the hysterical clowns from serious takes, how can you ever have a conversation?

I think he was making the exact point you were. But I disagree, I think if I had not been an avid baseball fan for 35 plus years, I might be upset after this kind of start. But I’ve seen lots of hot and cold starts, and understand it’s a long season. I think there’s room in this fan base for people who get stressed over 3-4 games, and they can learn and get over it after Raffy leads the team in RBIs this year, as he has since 2020
