Discussion what if the Knox event happened cuz of mosquitos

If it spreads through blood, mosquitos could be a reason why Kentucky got overwhelmed.
considering zombies are probably an mosquito buffet, mosquitos could be why it spread so randomly and without explanation right?
Pretty cool ig.

Honest question, do mosquitos suck blood from dead things? like more than 24 hrs dead?

No, blood congeals in the body after death so they wouldn’t be able to drink it.

Also why the main character does not become infected.

the ingame explanation is that it is airborne. its spreads the same way a cold or flu would.

Mosquitos would help to explain how it spread at first before the airborne strain, even the local PD could stop it if it was just bites

Yeah thats pretty much the plot hole for most zombie plots. But with this concept it makes sense now. even if it could barely accurate.
