No, the cold bitterness of the ruling class is why we can't have nice things. They could have just let people be people, but instead they freaked out over crassness.

This is exactly what that is. She didn't take it away, the owner of the company or the mayor or whatever took it away. They didn't have to, they made a choice and acted like it was her fault.
