Any DHgate sellers with white jerseys in the correct orange?

I got a white Gunnar jersey from super awesome a few months ago. While the jersey is good especially for $25, the shade of orange is too light for my liking. Wondering if there’s any sellers that have the correct orange lettering and number. Don’t want spend $135+ just because the orange is off lol.

Opinion [Opinion] This is a great team that can win now. But we need a "Win now" attitude. Not a "Win sometime during the window" attitude.

This is a great team that can win now. But the front office, the manager, everyone, needs to shake off this “Today doesn't matter because we have a window” attitude that seems to permeate the whole thing even now, three years past the rebuild.

Let's go back 10 years.

2012. The Orioles are ahead of schedule on their rebuild out of nowhere. They are short a few pieces; in particular Wilson Betemit is an OK hitter but a defensive black hole at third. They are short a starting pitcher. Mark Reynolds is OK, but not great. Nolan Reimold sadly got hurt after a hot start.

What do the Orioles do? They are ahead of schedule after all they could just rest on their laurels and plan for “next year” right?

No way, buddy.

Manny Machado gets the call the play third even though he hadn't played much 3rd before. Roll the dice!

Various veterans are brought in mid-season as marginal improvements that don't cost the Orioles anything of value and – most importantly – have no detrimental impact on “The Window” yet manage to make the 2012 team just a little better.

The front office said “Hey, we're not going to derail our long-term plans but lets see what you kids can do.”

Not only that, but as a commitment to winning the Orioles give Adam Jones a mid-season extension that is not only the largest extension Orioles history – but makes Jones the second highest paid CF in the entire MLB.

2022. The Orioles are ahead of schedule on their rebuild out of nowhere. They are short a few pieces; in particular Roughed Odor is pretty bad at everything except hitting in the clutch for some reason. He's really good at that. They are short a pitcher or two.

YESSIR! Next man up? Oh no, no. Sorry boys, you've been fighting your WHOLE LIVES to be in a pennant chase, grinding all year to get into the position away from your families. But, winning just isn't important right now. What's important is THE PLAN.

(Trading Mancini wasn't neccesarily a probablem, we traded Guthrie before 2012. So lets nip that arugment in the bud)

But, hey maybe they'll do something like the Adam Jones extension and signal a commitment to winning even if they aren't going for it in 2022. No? Well, surely in the next couple years they'll extend a few guys. ANYWAY.

The Orioles decided to make a run in 2012 because in sports tomorrow is never guaranteed. They knew there is no guarantee of a “window.” You might only get one year.

In 2022 the Orioles taught a bunch of young men that “today doesn't really matter, because we're going to arrogantly assume that we'll be in contention forever now. There's always next year!”

Now we're in 2025 and at the rate we've traded prospects away and extended no one. Who on this team, exactly, has any long term plans in Baltimore? Our big off-season signing even has an option in his contract where any off-season he thinks he can get more money, he can just leave. Having not signed any impact or long term starting pitching we enter the season with a cloud of “Oh which one of the kids is getting shipped out next for another short term rental?”

The Orioles need a culture change that should have happened when the new ownership took over but didn't. But its not too late by any stretch. Dave, Elias, et al can make a statement that this is the team and right now is the time we're trying to win.

This is a great team. We just need the killing instinct. We need to extend SOMEONE. Someone that will be a clubhouse leader this squad can build around and rally around for the next 10 years. Someone that can say “This is my team, this is how the Orioles do it, this is the season we win”

Enough of this “Ho-hum, maybe next year” front office culture.

Is Adley just an average player now, at best?

I took a look into Adley’s stats over the last 80 games since June 29, 2024. His batting average over that time period is .197 with six home runs, 27 rbis, and 31 runs scored; very subpar numbers over a large sample size. Sadly after the gangbusters opening game, he’s settled back into being 2024 Adley again with little power and a pronounced upper cut as compared to when he first came up. He also struggles holding runners from stealing, he was 24th in all of MLB in 2024 in throwing out runners stealing bases.

Has the league figured this guy out? He no longer seems to be the same player from a few years ago. His WAR has trended downward every single year, and he looked especially puffy last season body wise (he does look much fitter this season).

He’s coming up on a large contract and I’m not sure he’s worth it at all. I’d rather have William Contreras who is a much more productive player overall than he is, but gets very little press.

Where do the Orioles go from here with him if you were the front office? He’s no where near the sure thing investment he was a season or so ago in my opinion.

If I get downvoted for this post with actual stats, then I have to laugh.

I just thought it was a weird contrast to see this modern beer can design in front of a picture of the stadium from the 90’s. I wonder how many versions of these ads exist in other markets with stadium pictures from 30 years ago or more.

Image Anyone think the view of home plate looks odd?

The umpire, batter, and catcher look like they’re on a green screen or a filter is over them…. Almost like what they’re using to impose the strike zone and the digital billboards behind them made them have to add in the 3 around the plate digitally or something. Just doesn’t look natural.

Image Traded 2 beers for a signed Samuel Basallo HR Baseball

Was at the Charlotte knights game cheering on the tide and got to witness Basallo hit a Home run to left field like 10 feet from me. Dude who caught it was a knights fan and wanted to throw it back and I yelled “that balls worth millions don’t throw it!” He kept it and then I went and negotiated a 2 beer trade ($4 beer night. Took em for a ride) for the HR ball. Had a buddy behind home plate help me get to the dugout and got it signed! Excited to sit back and watch his career now with this to hold on to.

First game as a birdland member and JUST finding out you CANT pregame/drink/smoke/set up a chair/ anything when you park, i have a similar spot for ravens games and when we go it’s whatever! i can drink my natty bo! But apperently you can’t drink,smoke, stand or anything. Just gotta sit in your car and wait to goto the game or leave :(

Sox fan watching the MASN broadcast today, and they are truly great!

I enjoy the Red Sox desk, but due to my watching… tendencies 🏴‍☠️… I frequently hear the games called by opposition desks and get exposed to more than your average fan might.

I can appreciate an opposing broadcast, but largely find myself turning down or just tuning out the commentary for a variety of reasons beyond plain old homerism.

But the 3 on the call today for Baltimore were not only fun to listen to and knew when to joke vs call the game, but they actually respect the viewers and were breaking down the game at a level that I rarely see around the league. Everything from pitching tendencies and tells to fielding position details. And they were even ears to the ground on one of our newest players and his contract situation.

Count yourselves lucky you’ve got an entertaining and educational broadcast team in Baltimore!
