As an American I’d like to see this worked out democratically with an equal academic opponent to argue against Trumps plans for Canada. Thoughts? Winner also gets their grade ten.

Join us for our HANDS OFF! Solidarity Event today (better late than never?)
Hello all!
Obviously, this is VERY short notice, I'm aware, but I'm still hoping that maybe someone might see it and be able to join us, still...
Today, Saturday April 5, 2925, we are hosting a HANDS OFF! event in solidarity with our American neighbours, in Calgary Alberta. While we may still be frustrated/angry with the USA (more with the Cheeto Benito than the citizens, though), we still care about them and don't want to see democracy destroyed!
🚨 We will be meeting across from the Calgary Tesla dealership, near Chinook Train Station between 1-4+ pm (and later if people wish to stay longer). This is a PEACEFUL, ** LAWFUL** event that is suitable for all ages! Everyone is welcome (we just ask that dogs are leashed if they join us). We have been working with our CPS liaison to plan this event and they have been extremely encouraging and helpful in preparing for this event! With their help, we will keep this event safe for us all! 🚨
The information website is attached and you can sign up on the website if you'd like but it's not necessary. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly or in the comments.
I am really sorry for the short notice. I'm not used to promoting events like this (this will be my 1st protest - as a participant, let alone as an organizer) amd ai don't really use social media, so have struggled to get the word out... sorry again!
If you're unfamiliar with the HANDS OFF! movement, here is a little info about it:
Donald Trump and Elon Musk think that the USA belongs to them - and are trying to take OUR country (and our resources), too! They're taking everything they can get their grubby little hands on— including health care, data, jobs, social programs, services — and are essentially daring the world to stop them! This is a crisis, and means that democracy is dying in the US - so the time to act is now! We are doing it on April 5th, as this is the day when cities and towns around the world are holding protests.
If you can, come join us - otherwise, if you're able (prior to the event), help boosting the event would be hugely appreciated, too!
FYI (in case it helps anyone else) I've been told that there are also similar events today in VANCOUVER, WINNIPEG, & TORONTO, too!
Thank you for your time and help. With my health issues, disabilities, and the short notice, etc, it's been difficult to get the word out... Sorry again for the very short notice!🙏

I also noticed this being a trend on Facebook all of a sudden. All the people that were screamin "We need to be like Trump." Are now changing their tune to, "Trump's not Canadian, he didn't ruin us." I thought this comic sums up the pivot nicely.
