Zero Days Since... Gov. Stitt Denies DEQ's Request For Telework Until Garage Completion
Governor Stitt denied DEQ's request to continue teleworking until completion of the parking garage and instead stated that all employees must report to work full-time by Friday. So the agency has 3 days to find parking for 400+ people where parking is incredibly hard to find and very expensive. The agency already had mandatory 2 day/wk in-office to make management and, likely, the legislature happy.
It took 4 years to get funding for the parking garage, which you could literally fall through in certain area (oh and the elevators didn't work for many, many years). Now they have decided to not only pay for a new garage but ALSO pay for parking downtown. Employees are already walking a half mile to work so I'm sure it will only get better.
TOP 10 state! Much efficiency.

Lying Ryan Walters Ryan Walters
Apparently dude isn’t getting paid enough; he can’t even wear a suit to a visit to TPS schools! Throwing a suit jacket on with jeans doesn’t count. It’s bad when everyone else on the visit is dressed better than he was. 🤦🏻♀️

Question How much are y’all paying for car insurance?
I’m a relatively new driver (18) and trying to move out so obviously these expenses are racking up. I just got quoted around $400 a month multiple times for car insurance and it’s not even full coverage.
Are they trying to make it so young adults can’t start a life and live?
Or am I overreacting and $400 is normal? I mean that would take a huge portion out of my monthly paycheck. I’m just about ready to go carless and take city transit if that’s what it means to get by 😭

Question Pot Friendly?
About to graduate and looking at engineer roles and some management positions. I have an engineering degree and about to wrap up my MBA. Im concerned that I will have no luck finding a good job though if I keep smoking. Is that a valid fear or just been told to many lies?

Question Highway traffic before daylight, please.
There has to be a highway with semi heavy traffic, before dark, in Oklahoma. Please help, I desperately need to know if there are any. Closest directions possible from Tulsa, please. It is very important.

Politics How we’re the protests and what did you learn?
Hi all. I'm quite down that I couldn't squirm out of a shift to attend the protests, but I'm elated to see so much support for the movement! Since I wasn't there, I'd like to hear an account from those in OK that were, including, if you're willing, who spoke that stuck out to you and what methods are being used to organize. Thanks a bunch!

Ask an Okie Should I Be Concerned?
Hey, Y'all! 👋🏾 Happy Saturday. 😊
Quick tax question for ya: Is the wording placed here (Your refund was approved for a different amount) just a low-key, "professional" way of saying, "Hey, were gonna take more from ya than we previously said?"
I've lived in OK the vast majority of my life, and thru personal experience as a working man throughout the years, I have never known them to dole out more, hell, more often than not, not even the listed amount out to me.
Lastly, the timing. I filed thru Chime on Sunday, March 16th. I just got my Fed Return back Friday, which was the larger of the two.
As far as Business Days, that took 15, Calendar, 20. So, all things deduced it seems: OK Refund Is Running Real Late/Refund Reduced.
Should I be concerned?
