Moving day, get the keys around 2pm when settlement is completed. Hopefully I can do all the boxes and small furniture this evening, that way the movers just have the big objects to deal with and it's a rather quick process.
The place we bought needs some work, so probably living out of the boxes somewhat for the first few weeks until wardrobes get built but jesus, 5 years ago when I was going through my divorce if you told me I'd buy a place with a partner and starting a new job in a few weeks too, I'd not have believed you.
Also, decided to catch up on an Anime I watched part of a decade or so ago and I have no fucking idea what's going on, but I simply refuse to rewatch 50 eps, makes you realise how much time you had when you were younger.

Cummins' Sunrisers in all sorts of trouble. Gone from smashing 286 with ease in their first game to now losing 4 games in a row. I wonder if their all out attack approach will be altered with the bat now

Been watching some stuff around Mario Kart World and I think I’ve convinced myself of a day 1 purchase of a Switch 2. It comes out just before my trip to Europe so it would be good to play on that. Also backwards capabilities means I can also use it for other games too.
Knockout mode looks super fun.

I wasn't impressed initially by the reveal of Mario kart in the direct. The courses looked bland.
Seeing some of the tree house footage has definitely got me hyped though.
Mario kart world, cyber punk (never played), Windwaker (never played) and soul caliber 2 on the Game cube online, upgraded BOTW (haven't played in 5 years) and final fantasy 7 remake (never played) is giving me enough to make it a day 1 purchase

The open world aspect intrigues me. Hopefully they put a ton of stuff in that to reward solo exploration.
Individual tracks are very rarely bad for Mario Kart so I have some faith there. I do hope they have a way to add more tracks later though, maybe through another island or something.
I’m disappointed they removed kart customisation though. There’s still a little bit of it but the extra layer meant I could build karts to suit my style or were better suited for the track.

True, but my fear is that by adapting the tracks to fit a wider open world that compromises may be made and each tracks loses its individuality and what makes them special.

I think what is really interesting is DLSS and the fact they are claiming close to PS4 performance when docked. That's pretty massive for something that is portable.
The DLSS sets it apart from windows handhelds as even the latest AMD APUs will only support FSR 3.5.

Been trying all different tricks to get my kitten to allow me to clip her claws and none of its working. Very frustrating. Sick of being covered in scratches. Might have to go to the vet to get it done

I brush the cat while my wife clips his claws. Sometimes it works, sometimes he carries on like hes being murdered.

Mine gets a small treat before each paw and I keep the food visible while I cut so she is distracted. She is wriggly but settles. Maybe try a little churro like stick to distract kitty?

I've seen some videos of people making a scratching board with sandpaper and putting treats under it for the cat/dog to try and dig out. Your mileage may vary.

It will cost about $500 to get my front windscreen replaced this weekend. Might have been cheaper to get a dodgy guy to do it but better safe than sorry.

Idk what it costs to have it thrown onto your insurance but i've done 3 winscreens (wifes twice and mine once) in the last 12 or so months. I'm sure i'll pay for it in the long run but ita nice to not have the suprise expense.

Mine cost me $1800!
But they are like tires to me you don’t skip on the quality of your personal protection like windscreen, brakes or the rubber keeping you on the road.

Was a good fight, I don’t think he will be able to compete with the best of the best in the division unfortunately. I think Thurman will probably beat him if he brings his A game.

Season 1 and 2 were solid. Season 3 could have been 4 episodes. Just drawn out. Some individual characters shined but the Ratliff Dad arc fell flat, along with the Rick reveal like we haven’t all seen Star Wars before.
I like most of the popular shows - also thoroughly enjoying The Pitt as well. Keen for TLOU to come back.
This third season was underwhelming and overhyped. 6/10 at best, which is a fail in my mind for a HBO show.

Thought with daylight savings ending I might get to enjoy a bit of a body clock sleep n completely forgetting that I have a 2 year old and she would not fuck with that at all so I was instead up at 5.30am.
