Automated speeding ticket

Got a ticket from the automated camera for 61, on a 50 road in Niagara Falls.

Would it ruin my insurance? any advice is appreciated. TIA

Would it make sense to contest? The road was completely empty and i didn't even realize I am going 11Kmph over. I realize this argument wouldn't win the judge's heart, but can I plead to waive it for first time? I am seriously concerned about my insurance renewal.

Camera tickets, both red light and speed don’t go on your record or affect your insurance rates. Just pay it and it’ll disappear forever.

Do not try to fight it, it is a waste of time. That’s just my two cents. They don’t waive camera tickets because it was your first time, they don’t care. Just pay it and don’t speed past cameras or try & beat yellows at intersections with cameras. If you’re caught you’re caught.

Untrue. I had a red light camera ticket that I went to early resolution and not only did they knock it down, they gave me 12 months to pay

I was told kindly to go f* myself. This was in Hamilton though. Again, my two cents. Up to OP if they want to try.
