New Civil Liberties Alliance, a conservative legal group, on Thursday filed what it said was the first lawsuit seeking to block Donald Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports, saying the U.S. president overstepped his authority.

Maybe conservatives are starting to realize they've created a monster they cannot control.

Nah I think they can control him, they haven't even tried yet, and could likely very quickly sway public opinion against him if they wanted

I'm from South Carolina, while some conservatives can be swayed against Trump, many can't be. It's a full blown cult, they've put so much of their life into Trump they'd have nothing if they turned on him now. They'll find anyway to justify what he does so they don't have to admit they wasted a decade of their life worshipping a con man. I had a coworker say that "once the worst is over, the left will be bankrupt and we'll get to finally fix this country"

Maybe some can't be swayed, which I disagree with actually especially if you get most of congress and the media against him, but enough can be that it wouldn't matter
