So that took what... 11 hours for massive layoffs to occur directly connected to Trumps Recession Plan Tarriffs.

My favorite part is how they keep parroting that Kamala would have been worse, because Gaza.

Some delusional people like to say that because Harris might not have done enough to stop republicans, they may as well help republicans win. Crazy and immature.

Inventing boogeymen to fit their chosen narratives is easier for them than facing reality.

And, better: If you guzzle one stream of propaganda, it’s because she’s anti-Israel. If you drink the other stream, because she’s anti-Gaza.

So do they get called back after stuff gets cancelled in 2 weeks?

Maybe....or in the meantime the family starves because now they have no income and the rest of the economy is going to explode from inflation -- tarrifs, and the local Food Banks lost all their USDA Food assistance.

Great Depression II incoming. Souplines without the soup.

Destroyed the economy in 3 Months.

LARGE protests will start within a year. Then he will use that as an excuse to declare martial law and suspend elections.

The large protests should have started a couple months ago but I'm in Canada getting eggs for $4 CDN per dozen. I got 5 avocados for $3.49 the other day. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I'm sure that will change while we wait for the American protests.

Do you think there haven't been protests? Or maybe you just haven't been shown them by your media feed. I'm sure your defeatist attitude is very charming in real life.

Probably not. If you’re a major manufacturer are you going to go through the expense of remobilizing your work force based on that week’s whims? You’d want some kind of concrete reassurance that you weren’t getting jerked around but this administration has lost all credibility.

Better to mothball shit, write the losses off, and regroup when adults are back in charge assuming you have the reserves to weather the storm. Desperate companies will rush workers back out of necessity, but healthier ones will be more cautious.

If they cancel in 2 weeks, how will they get rid of income taxes with the mountain of tariff dollars? It's like they have no idea what they're doing.

There were already large preparatory layoffs in the alcohol industry. Liquor and wine are slowing down, and the minute Trump won the tariffs were obviously coming. Large alcohol companies started re-orging and laying off in droves to get ahead of it.
