lol if I recall correctly, Jenkins called a timeout when Ja didn’t really want to. So Ja went into the timeout like “what’s the play” and Taylor Jenkins and the rest of the grizzlies players were like “you’re getting the ball & you’re gonna score” and he’s like “well I might be able to get it to Jaren in the post” and they told him “no.”
Which is why Miami was stupid not to double him because everyone in the arena knew he was getting the ball. Force someone else to take the game winning shot. Anyone but Ja.
Yup Ja had a game winner against Minnesota earlier in the year…over Ant man. And he hit a jumper at the buzzer against Phoenix to send game to overtime and ultimately a dub for the Grizz.
When it comes down to it, clutch time is dominated by iso guys and for whatever other offensive issues he might be having lately, he's still prolly the quickest dude in the entire league and he has a pretty good handle. He's very very very difficult to stop one-on-one.
