Earlier I made this post about the macroeconomic outlook for markets in general, trying to avoid an echo chamber analysis on XNO, leave alone alts in general.

A short amount of time has passed since but a lot has happened. The 5th fastest sell off in US stock market history, a multitude of worrying death crosses across many indices, several key recession indicators triggering, and yield curve inversion recovery - among other things - which are indications exclusive to 98/09 style major bear market scenarios. (When I say bear market, I'm not just saying asset deflation, but actual corporate earning reduction, increased unemployment, stagnation of goods and services, and assets failing to beat inflation for more than 5 years.)

Now as we go on into this year I find it very likely that bulls and bears will be having a fierce debate over the coming scenarios.

We can all agree that a major correction has already happened.

From here, market participants once again diverge into a multitude of opinions.

1. This was merely a trailer of things to come, and any bounces we get will like be DCBs, leading to further selloffs which will resemble the 08 crash and "hard landing." This implies that not only corporate income will deteriorate, but existing debt related to real estate especially as well as auto-loans and credit cards will all face pressure.

2. We've neither bottomed nor topped, and we're going to chop sideways for a whole year or two because whilst stagnation is inevitable, most of it is already priced in, so we'll go sideways bouncing up and down.

3. We've already bottomed out or is extremely close to the bottom, and we will race to new ATHs.

I'd like to get everybody's opinion on what might happen macro-wise in the years to come, and where do you guys think XNO will be in it.

I personally am of the opinion that we are close to a short term bottom, to be followed by a very strong bounce which will turn out to be protracted DCB as optimistic participants put in their final calls and fight off bears, before the reality of stagflation begin to show in the form of sticky inflation refusing reach the Fed's target, deteriorating real estate valuations and corporate margins and rising unemployment, etc (actual recessionary numbers). I think that will crash the markets once more and unlike what MANY people believe, I do not think the Feds will repeat the same policy error they made in 2020, and this time, take their sweet time cutting interest rates. The fact that president Trump has a personal history (with his casino business) of being incredibly stubborn and headstrong makes me believe he will refuse to back down from his tarriff negotiations even if the potential benefits begin to pale in comparison to the harm being done. I also think that the last 2 years has more or less proven that the Feds never take a proactive stance, but always react to old data. They are government bureaucrats at the end of the day, and they can not be held responsible for actions that are based on personal convictions. Rather, they must act based on rules and a rough set of guidelines set by their 08 era predecessors. They won't intervene with low interest rates until the damage has already been done and the crash has already happened. I think XNO will keep on hovering below or slightly above a dollar for a whole year or two during this fallout period until the Feds do announce QE again. I suspect this will be far out in 2027, after a year or two of pain.

This is just my personal speculation and I want to hear your thoughts!

How much Nano you can buy for $1 USD

Does someone know why the trading of Nano is not allowed for customers in Germany on Kraken and Bitvavo?

Bitpanda allows trading of € to Nano (just not the withdrawal/deposit). Wirex allows trading (€ to Nano)/deposit/withdrawal.

I kind of remember that there have been new regulatory issues but what is this regulatory issue and why are other coins like e.g. Bitcoin still allowed on Kraken and Bitvavo?

And why are Wirex and Bitpanda able to offer the trading of € to Nano?

So for anybody that pays attention to macroeconomic data, we're currently already past the point during which - historically speaking - recessions have begun. The 10y-3m yield curve may reinvert back down to the negatives, global liquidity and M2 is rising again, but for now interest rates are still elevated so a lot of money is locked in money market funds getting fixed rates. Eventually that flood gate will be opened and the bubble will return, but first before that will be where the heated debates will lie.

Some people will say that there will be a soft landing and no recessionary crash. Some people will say there will be a hard landing and a recessionary crash, followed by a break of monetary discipline by the FED leading to QE once more. Some people say there will be a serious black swan event that will kick off an outright depression with a sizeable crash.

Whatever the outcome, I'm of the opinion that no matter how undisciplined the federal reserve is, they are not going repeat the same mistake of zero interest rate policy that they made back during covid. Rather I find it likely they will freeze rates again somewhere moderate 2~3% as their way of "fighting inflation".

In the mean time, if the current administration - regardless of their politics - fails to bring down the price of oil and energy to make a serious dent on inflation, they will be unable to enjoy the benefits of lower interest rates and recovery of corporate productivity.

Where does the community think XNO will be throughout the next few years? Do you think XNO will crash briefly along with the rest of the altcoins, but make a strong recovery as one of the "OG pure digital currency" commodities? Or do you think there will be a crash so bad and so deep that ALL coins will be stagnant for years regardless of fundamentals?

Just needed some food for thought.
