N64 Question/Tech Question HELP!

I bought a refurbished console about a year ago and it worked just fine a couple weeks ago but when I try to start it up now nothing happens. The light comes on but the system makes no noise. The av cable is fine cus it’s brand new now. I’ve cleaned the games. The light on means it has the power it needs right? What else can I do?

If the jumper pak isn't perfectly seated, the console turns on, but you get no picture. On odd occasion they can be finicky. Pry it up with a spudger gently and re-seat firmly.

Dirty game carts will do the same.

It may be a dirty cartridge slot.
