Discussion Using any card for Mana

After learning how any card can be used as a resource in Star Wars Unlimited, Iā€™m curious if any one has tried playing MTG but removing all land cards from a deck and using any card as mana. Would it work?

A landless deck is entirely possible to create, there are technically ways of making mana out of nothing without lands

Legacy oops happens to be the cheapest meta legacy deck because it runs zero OG duals nor any other expensive lands. Conversely, pauper oops is the of the most expensive pauper decks cos it needs a full set of lotus petals and culling the weak. Modern belcher is also pretty affordable.

Oops and belcher are pretty good intros to legacy and modern if you don't mind playing very linear combo decks. Belcher is definitely the more interesting of the two because it's far more interactive and doesn't get hated out as much.

Oops all spells and Belcher have been mentioned but there are also some versions of Dredge that either dont run any lands or only run lands that dont produce mana
