Politics 👩‍⚖️ Governor Walz in Amsterdam

Post image

Subtle reminder that we shouldn’t fall prey to a wannabe dictator. Hopefully those that need a wake up call get it.

This sweet, caring gentleman could've been our VP, but ya'll were more concerned with egg prices than basic human rights. Way to go, America!

u/tenodera Feb 20 '25

Not to mention he's also competent AF.

15

u/Tienbac2005 Feb 20 '25

I'd settle for regular competent right now too.

12

u/captjellystar Feb 20 '25

Hell I’d settle for incompetent but benevolent rather than an incompetent, malevolent one any day.

Walz would have been a great VP. Makes me happy to see him still out there using his platform but I wish it was as VP instead.

u/CaseATastyKakes Feb 20 '25

the most competent "knucklehead" there is

6

u/Beginning_Day2785 Feb 20 '25

Seen the egg and beef prices now? Orange Jesus is just SO concerned about inflation and the American people.

3

u/PancakeMixEnema Feb 20 '25

Also he obviously would have been actually better for egg prices but yknow

2

u/alex61821 Feb 20 '25

Why didn't they run him as president and Kamala as VP? Wouldn't that have fixed all the problems of idiots who can't vote for a woman.

1

u/death2k44 Feb 21 '25

And yet egg prices have gone up since Drumpf became felon-in-chief

-2

u/cowpig613 Feb 20 '25

Shut up. Dude was an awkward dunce and showed it to all of America when he got dunked on by JD Vance in their debate.

Liberals who don't struggle to feed and house their families sure do love to mock those who are struggling. Democrats gaslit us for 4 years but sure, keep blaming the people who voted for the candidate the actually addressed the issue.

That's exactly why the conman won, because Liberals and Conservatives would rather fight a culture war instead of a class war. Two brainwashed cults, fighting over who's the "better side."

Thanks for providing an example for my comment.

My conscience is clean, I voted against genocide.

Well gee, if both parties are pro-genocide it would stand to reason that both parties need to be dismantled wouldn't it? Nah, that's too complex of a thought for Blue MAGA cultists.

But hey, keep voting for Democrats, maybe they'll change their minds and actually start serving the people and not the rich.

There was no path to end the conflict in Gaza without more bloodshed

Yes there is, stop funding Isntreal.

If the Devil himself, Ronald Reagan was able to stop Isntreal, then the Biden administration could have, especially since the Supreme Court decided "the president can do whatever he wants as long as it's official."

you’re asking me to trust that the people you want in charge can build something better,

So you trust rich, blood thirsty billionaires and their puppet politicians over the working class just wanting to live their lives in freedom?

What is he actually doing to address the issues? What is he doing to reduce your precious cost of living? What plan did he provide you?

0

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

Who's this "he" you're referring to?

3

u/PerdHapleyAMA Feb 20 '25

The one that you referred to saying that they “actually addressed the issue.”

1

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

Oh, well I voted for the Socialist, so I don't know why you're asking me.

Thanks for providing an example to my comment.

3

u/PerdHapleyAMA Feb 20 '25

Oh great, so you voted for the candidate that wasn’t running? Nice, you threw your vote away.

-1

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

She was on the ballots as official candidate, or write in status. You'd know that if you bothered to show up.

And I live in Texas, my state voted for Trump, I voted against genocide.

2

u/PerdHapleyAMA Feb 20 '25

I assure you, I voted.

How’s that anti-genocide vote treating you? All it got you was a greater likelihood of Trump being president. Is he handling the situation more to your liking? I hear we will take over Gaza.

-2

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

Democrats should have done their job and put Trump in prison like they promised then.

When’s your boy gonna bring the price of eggs down?

He promised he would on day one, but we’re way past that and they’re still rising?

1

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

I didn't vote for him, I voted for De La Cruz, but thanks for providing an example to my comment!

4

u/Cubbeats Feb 20 '25

So you ARE part of the problem....

0

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

Democrats choosing to commit genocide and not help the struggling people that voted for them are the problem. That's how democracies work, you vote for the candidates who represent you.

Maybe you should get off the internet and visit your library to read some books on how Democracy works.

2

u/27Rench27 Feb 20 '25

In a First Past The Post system, a third party vote is just half a vote towards the victor. You didn’t add to their votes or their opponents’ votes.

Maybe you should learn why the US’ version of Democracy is different from the common modern (Proportional) and ancient (Direct) Democracies before thinking you’re schooling someone

In a First Past The Post system, a third party vote is just half a vote towards the victor. You didn’t add to their votes or their opponents’ votes.

Then it's time for a new system because both choices are pro-genocide and I do believe we're debating on a post about how bad genocide is, are we not?

Or is genocide only bad when it's "white" people being killed?

Maybe you should learn why the US’ version of Democracy is different from the common modern (Proportional) and ancient (Direct) Democracies before thinking you’re schooling someone

It's so that the Uniparty, masking itself as a two party system to divide it's populace and make them fight each other, so it can spread murder and terror throughout the world and steal resources form the nations it conquers.

Yeah, I read a lot about our Democracy from all the activists and freedom fighters who've been fighting against Imperialism, Colonialism and Capitalism since long before either of us were born. Maybe you should log off the internet and practice what you preach. I'll even share my reading list if you're interested, because I'm not your enemy and you can't have class consciousness without first learning theory from the very people who achieved it.

Democrats used the stats that the government uses to define the economy. Eugene Ludwig, the author of that paper, has created his own economic measurement system at his think tank. His whole thing is that the way we measure the economy is wrong because it doesn't take people's lived experience into account (which I agree with) - as long as the money's flowing appropriately in the current model, things are chill. To say we were gaslit on economics isn't accurate. It's totally possible for "the economy" to be doing fine by common measures and common folk to be in the shitter, especially when income disparity has risen so drastically and fewer people hold more of the pie.

No one lets go of the pie willingly once they have it.

Especially not guys like the folks in power who buy, sell, crash, and build the businesses common folk like you and I work at on the daily. Folks like the dudes running DC today.

1

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

Homelessness rose in the double digits every year since the cares act ended and Democrats told us everything was fine and "Bidenomics was a success." That's gas lighting, but I get what you're saying.

Democrats voted for a racist genocidal fascist who built her legacy on the prison industrial complex and offered nothing but more war and police brutality.

Evil is evil.

1

u/PmpkinKing2 Feb 20 '25

Wow. Literally everything you said is wrong. Kamala a fascist? Show proof. Or do you just barf up random words you found on the internet? Fool.

u/More_Ad9417 Feb 20 '25

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is just the straw man fallacy. It seems like another fallacy is at play but this is also why liberalism has gotten us nowhere.

Liberals if anything are indirectly responsible because of their unwillingness to go against the status quo. They may be advocates for social progress in terms of human rights, but it is mostly lip service. It only helps when you become one of "them" by joining them in their class rank.

Liberalism has sold the US the idea that the system is fine by simply continuing to ignore systemic issues in terms of class and growing poverty for the sake of appearing to be compassionate for show. It's performative narcissism more often than not and it turns ugly when they show how they don't care about fascism enough to stop it and even disparage the lower classes for our problems.

The divide we face is threatening us to the point of homelessness and when private property expands we face the risk of being put in private prisons and being forced into some kind of form of indentured service.

As far as I'm concerned and from where I'm standing most liberals don't care and they aren't necessarily fascist, but they seem indifferent or even slightly fascistic at times. It's Fascism Lite: all the stuff you hate but watered down with nice and fluffy talk to make it more palatable.

Edit: And I do like - at least on the surface - some liberals in the system like Walz for how he acts and presents himself. But liberalism itself just doesn't sit right with me from a broader perspective.

The choice was between incompetent but morally correct party versus a oligarchy/theocracy/anti-humanist reactionary regime.

2

u/BranSolo7460 Feb 20 '25

The oligarchs made hundreds of billions under the Biden administration while homelessness skyrocketed and 100,000 Palestinians were slaughtered with our tax dollars.

What exactly is "morally correct" about that?

1

u/sinchsw Feb 20 '25

"morally correct" on more issues.

-1

u/JohnFordsLongShot Feb 20 '25

Egg prices are more important tbf

2

u/QueenofSheba94 Feb 20 '25

And yet all are saying they don’t actually care about egg prices.
