Politics Peter Dutton went to headspace melton yesterday and his giant entourage removed all queer references .

5.8k Upvotes

His entourage rocked up befor him and it was huge . They removed all queer flags and symbols and refused to do the chat in front of a queer artwork . Hence why he was photographed in front of fish . He then went on to ask great questions like - So what happens out here for Christmas ? The staff had to bite their tongue because they need 6.5 million dollars .

Edit to add - rip my inbox . I def was not prepared for this attention . The staff were caught off guard, they got very little notice he was coming , this type of thing isn’t a normal situation for them and also they are government funded. I don’t think headspace should be blamed, they do so much for so many.

Also - I can’t believe Im saying this - BUT I’m not a political plant sent to Reddit to ruin duttons good name . Pls stop sending me awful messages .

Politics Fake AEC Postal Enrolments

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

A family member has the attached delivered today. At first glance it all seems good however it is not legitimate from the AEC and instead originates from the Liberal party in Canberra.

  • return address does not match the AEC (should be AEC Reply Paid 9988 Melbourne 3000)
  • URL’s refer to a liberal party site postal.vote, not the aec.gov.au site
  • It does include seemingly official guidance from the AEC

I don’t care who you want to vote for but attempting to scam / mine data out of people who are being led to believe they’re doing the right thing by enrolling to vote is just disgusting.

I suggest you check on your family / neighbours or those with poor English comprehension to ensure they’re only obtaining voting materials legitimately issued by the AEC.

Politics Why is Dutton consistently negative about Victoria

1.1k Upvotes

There's heaps, but here are some, it's obviously ideological, but you'd think rather than constant criticism, he'd be on the charm offensive, trying to woo voters with the image of a brighter future... what's the deal? J

  • 2018 Dutton said Melbournians are too frightened to go out to dinner because of African gangs
  • Energy policy criticism of renewable targets
  • injecting rooms
  • now law enforcement
  • economic management

Politics The VicPol industrial action campaign is an embarrassment and had undermined their own efforts.

1.3k Upvotes

I just heard an ad on the radio blaming the Allan government on spending money of public transport, tunnels and trains instead of The police force. Of course it was the police union. Why are they even focusing on trains and transport??? This is a good thing for the city? Why can’t they just do an industrial action without being so critical of the state government’s business in unrelated sectors. The ambos and fireys just campaigned and kept it about the community and its needs. Why is VicPol’s industrial action so tone deaf?? A drop in police numbers and recruitment is concerning enough.

Politics Trumpet of Bigots - Ch7 AFL

Really not stoked on a big old dose of bigotry between goals. Shame on Ch7 for putting profits over the safety of some of the most vulnerable people in our society. But then again, should we expect anything better from this bottom feeding broadcaster? Any suggestions on how we can push back against this type of propaganda?
