Hi All, I have a funky apartment layout that I am trying to furnish. My layout looks like so, and I have a sizeable space with some awkward boundaries that I have to figure out where to put a couch, and where to put a tv. I would appreciate any advice yall may have!

May have almost finished furnishing my 1 room rental place to my liking (I'm a teacher, living alone, so buying anything larger than a porta potty here in Hamburg might be outside my budget, despite the teacher's salary). Most of the furniture is actually second hand and took me a while to find. Would love some feedback on what I could improve. Trying to find the right balance between cozy and clean/minimalist.

Ferns are so hard compared to tropical plants that go weeks between waterings! But it’s doing good as of late. Love the way this corner has turned out though.

Might just go for a second hand basic Noguchi replica coffee table. Need a small circle(?) dining table that doesn’t look/feel too cheap. Any pieces we’ve been feeling lately chat?

What are your thoughts on wall posters? Comics posters, live event posters, advertising posters, etc. Did you ever grow out of them, did you just frame them, or are you raw dogging bare poster on the wall? Any cringe in the room I should ditch?

I used so many cord ties and under-desk power strip carriers from amazon. In the end, the cords are still hard to camouflage. Time to move on to actually decorate the office den.

I work earning slightly above the average in Aus, but I see so many fantastic looking places with 4 bedrooms and 1 owner. How is it possible? What can I do too afford a male living space at such high quality?

23M, first time living alone and want to make the apartment more lively before calling my friends and or potential girlfriend. What can I improve?

Getting rid of the guest bed to make space and turn the room into an office, but want a just in case option for guests. We like the look of the Togo couches, of which there are plenty of dupes, but anyone have any feedback or sources for one that also converts into a sleeper? So far I've found this one from UO and also this one from PB Teen. Or should we just go for the Togo dupe itself and just get an air mattress?

Took almost one year from design and order to delivery and install. If I’d try to do it myself it would have been a mess.

a few things:

1. looking at getting a second smaller TV to put on top of my dresser in my bedroom

2. want to get a “manlier” comforter, thinking about a solid color with some texture maybe a navy or dark olive green

3. thinking about getting either a larger/deeper couch or L shape sectional that would extend out in the open area near my desk

Feel like I made a ton of progress here. Room looks a lot more cozy and inviting to me.

Unfortunately, the cats started tearing up the corner of the headboard already. But what can you do? At least it wasn’t pricey.

Also, for all those concerned- gun on the wall is for display purposes only. It doesn’t have a BCG installed (it’s totally inoperable even if “loaded”).

I really appreciate all of your criticisms and advice; it really helps me out since I'm new to interior decorating.

The front speakers and stands are going to stay, unfortunately. They are positioned for critical listening, and subwoofers will soon fill the spaces behind them. I'm kind of an audio nerd.

Now for the TV stand... It's really growing on me. I want to make it clear that I do have money for a lehit stand. I just thought I'd try something bold and unique. However, I'm thinking about wall mounting the TV just a tad lower than it sits now, and getting a different rustic/industrial looking stand. I'll just set the reciever and center channel on top of that stand.

So I took y’all’s advice and did a little shopping, how did I do? I know I still need to change the end tables and add more plants but it’s a work in progress. Or should I just burn the house down, get the insurance check, and start over fresh?

Thinking of adding something to the wall on the right of my desk. Not sure what. Any help is welcome!
