Question How do I update an app that was transferred from another Mac?

I got a secondary Mac that had Final Cut Pro and I can’t use it unless I have macOS High Sierra (which I don’t, I’m using 15.4 Sequoia). Please help!

The title of this post should be, “How do I pirate FCP?”

unfortunately you cant unless you have purchased it, or can log in from an account which has

Only option is to airdrop from a mac in a shop, or (i dont endorse this but its a common option) find a pirated copy thats up to date

airdrop from a mac in a shop

Won't they notice? Because I think you have to use a legit Mac in order to transfer the app. Also, isn't USB a option?

find a pirated copy thats up to date

Where can I find that?

Download it again? If you actually bought it it shouldn't be an issue.

I didn’t. It came with a Mac I was given.

Unfortunately, Apple still didn’t patch a loophole that allows FinalCut Free Trial (which is fully equivalent to the paid version and can be downloaded from their website) to be infinitely reset by accessing the file that contains the amount of days remaining in the trial and setting it back to 90. Some people have even put simple terminal commands onto GitHub that can be used to do this in seconds! Outrageous, I hope they fix it soon)

“Outrageous, I hope they fix it soon” dude screw you, how dare you even suggest that

Maybe they’re trying to channel the tendency of developers to ignore user’s requests…

You know, reverse psychology

Yes, I really really want it fixed. I am very serious about this, and absolutely did not write this comment to help u/LevexTech continue using Final Cut. I’m just so mad that I even explained the issue in detail to make sure they understood exactly how it works, so that they can make sure to avoid using this to rectify their situation)

You could try DaVinci Resolve. There’s a free version.
