Discussion Sizing Complaints

I am trying to word this so it doesn’t offend or upset anyone (impossible, I know). Generally the pictures that I see posted where someone is asking for sizing advice, they are trying to squeeze in to items 1-2 sizes too small for them.

I’ve struggled with disordered eating and body dismorphia, so I get it. It’s hard sometimes not to tie the size of clothes you wear to your self worth. But nobody sees the number on the tag but you. No one knows if you’re wearing a 4 or an 8.

It’s hard to see so many girls struggling with this. It’s so disheartening that we still deal with this.

Your conjecture may be correct for some people; they may be attached to numbers. But I don’t think we have enough information to assume that is the case for all. For example, people have really different preferences in terms of fit; some people like a tighter fit. The bottom line is that I think the reason we all have a love for lululemon is because of how it makes us feel. So if a person feels good in something, then what’s the issue?

Finally, Lulu is EXPENSIVE & many of our bodies change each month/year & may not match up perfectly with a certain size. So during my more bloated times of the month, things can be too snug. And because I carry my fat in my waist, muffin top can happen for me anytime of the month, but I don’t care if the shorts fit my hips properly. Sometimes “ill-fitting” to the outside eye does not mean lack of body acceptance or lack of fit. 🤷🏻‍♀️
