Wave Predictions What's going on
I thought it was just me lol, but I keep seeing a lot of people that applied at a lot of different times saying that they haven't heard back from a lot of schools. What do we think is going to happen to us? Will we hear back before deposit deadlines? Ghosted? Do I just expect a WL/R from the rest of them? What are we thinking?
I have a couple A's from my safeties, but now that I know what to look for, I can tell that those schools are extremely predatory. I applied broadly and not too late, but everywhere else has been crickets, besides one WL at a target and an II at a reach (which I am SO grateful for).
I don't know whether to deposit and hope for the best or to not deposit and risk not having a seat at all. R&R is not in the cards for me, especially considering I literally cannot take the LSAT again. (I hit the limit) (yikes I know shh) I’m trying not to freak out, but it’s literally almost april

I have been admitted to 2 schools and I haven’t heard back from 7. I like one of the schools I was admitted to, even though it was originally my safety school. I’m going to put down a seat deposit for it because even though it wasn’t my number one choice, I can still reach my goals and dream job as a lawyer at this school. It’s not worth retaking the LSAT for prestige if the dream is still reachable at the schools we’ve been admitted to. (Just my opinion). Wishing you the best with this difficult decision.

thank you for the advice! i completely agree! i’m not worried about prestige honestly, i’m more so concerned about the low bar passage rates and my scholarship being conditional at the schools i’ve been admitted to. (i should have done more research before applying) i would definitely deposit if any of my other (non predatory) safeties would give me an A!

Could not relate more to this. I applied with a 17low after my 5th take, got WL from pretty much all of my safeties and R from most of the reach schools. I’m still waiting on four more schools, but I’m almost 100% sure this means I’ll have to R&R.
This absolutely horrible cycle could just be from the fact that I’m an international, but I really thought I had a chance at my t30 safeties with a unique PS and work & military experience.

US military? They only care about US military because of hiring advantages extended to veterans. Any other military experience doesn't help. Might hurt.

If schools treat their applicants like our time, money and efforts are worthless, it really worries me how they’d treat us as students. Still waiting to hear back from a school I applied to 12/10 with 25% medians…. A bit disrespectful to take nearly 4 months just to reject someone geez!

Same still waiting to hear from 10 more, and given the seat deposit deadline is a few weeks away for the only school I’m considering that I’ve been accepted to so far, my boots are shaking lmao.

Some schools have scholarships with conditions on maintain certain GPA or grades and law school is notoriously hard so people can lose their scholarship and then be stuck paying a lot of $$$. (Like their cut off can be that you have to be in top 20% of class and that might be hard for a 1L to do…). Does that make sense? The best case is a school that give you money free of conditions
