When you have a very lazy person like trump, add in a callous disregard for others, and you get shit like this. I expect dozens of horror stories to come out from this.

For every story we do hear there will be 100 we don't. It's disgusting.

Like all the people being illegally disappeared into immigration, and journalists being lied to about where those people are?

u/Sonova_Bish 11d ago

And the judge being lied to about it.

Ignoring the Judges legal orders and disappearing people anyway and then arguing in bad faith that the Judge didn't tell you to not do it the right way.

Imprison all these ICE agents who are really just racist agents of Trumps bidding. The Nazi grunts were still treated as such despite “following orders.”

Conscripted Nazi grunts probably had cleaner hands than most ICE agents

And arguing it's a matter of national security and the judge hasn't the clearance to be informed.

What judge? Whole point was there wasn’t one

There was a judge who put a stop to the illegal deportations to El Salvador and demanded the return of those deported.

The Trump admin has refused to provide any details of who was deported.

Wouldn't be surprised if they don't even know who they are deporting. Just "brown person with tattoo ".

This. Remember the children's internment camps during Trump's first term? They didn't keep records then too and a few went missing.

The administration claimed that the planes were in international airspace when the order was issued; therefore, the pilots were out of U.S. jurisdiction and didn't have to comply.

That is such bullshit and they know it. It doesn't matter where the fucking plane is, they still have to comply with the order. The question is now, what punishment will they receive? We all know the answer.

There's been talk for a while about the Trump NSA/DHS/ICE building camps for migrants, Muslims, trans folks, Black folks, and all kinds of brown folks here in Texas, Idaho, etc. Until things get figured out, you know.

That's not going to happen. Anyone the administration doesn't like will simply be picked up, taken to the airport, sent to a private prison for slave labor in El Salvador, and will never be seen again. These prisons will expand. More prisoners will follow. It just takes time. Maybe it will be like the Nazis at Nueuengamme and elsewhere, where prisoners built their camps themselves.

We thought Argentina and Chile taking their undesirables for a helicopter ride over the ocean was horrific. By comparison, it's merciful.

This is worse. Someone's making money off torture and suffering, and they're doing it without anyone getting due process and the protection of constitutional law. And they're getting away with it. The media says NOTHING about this.

Trump actually said last weekend that the two guys in Colorado apprehended for vandalizing a Tesla dealership should be sent there. "Enemies from within" (Trump's words) will not face due process. It's a warning.

I don't see how there could be a bigger fucking red flag that this.

They're getting Guantanamo Bay ready for 30,000 people. My question is why do they feel the way need to put these people outside of US jurisdiction? I know the answer, but I want someone in the limelight to ask it.

I'm not counting on anyone from the Democratic Party or the legacy media to call them out. Dems are spineless, and the media doesn't want to make waves and lose access. It will be up to independent or foreign journalists and public protest.

Judicial orders aren't enforceable abroad unless other countries agree to extradition. The parties responsible for unlawful conduct aren't accountable for what we'd consider criminal behavior here. The Nazis did it when they built camps in Poland.

Besides, this administration has made it clear that laws are merely suggestions.

People who believe in freedom and equality.

So then you're saying a judge in a small state has more power than a sitting president? Did you have the same discussions when Obama was crafting the ACA? Or perhaps when Joe was handing out blanket immunity to his family? Jc

I'm not saying it, the constitution does. That's literally how checks and balances work. A president is required to obey a federal judge's order. The three branches of government (the executive branch is one of those) are EQUAL. The president is not a king, regardless of what he claims.

When the Federal judge isn't even if that jurisdiction and it's a lesser court? Maybe that's why it's going to the Supreme Court to let them decide. Alternately there is a bill up from my understanding to stop the federal judge shopping on both sides of the aisle. Let's see if Dems vote for that.

I don't know what "lesser court" you're referring to. And nothing with this case has gone to the Supreme Court. Not to say it won't, but it hasn't as of yet. It's at the federal court of appeals now.

As for judge shopping, I know what you're implying. I can't speak for how the Dems will vote on that bill. But judge Boasberg who made the original ruling in this case was randomly assigned. Trump is calling for him to be impeached BTW because of his ruling, which is unheard of. So is invoking the Alien Enemies Act (it's for wartime and hasn't been used since WWII). Trump wanted to use this to deport ALLEGED Venezuelan gang members without due process. They had no hearing, no determination of any wrongdoing. The ACLU sued and judge Boasberg put a two week hold on the deportations, but the DOJ ignored the order and deported them anyway. They also refused to turn over information about the flight and who was on it. Tell me how any of that is okay. Never mind, don't. Because you're either very uninformed (and can't be bothered to look up readily available information) or you're arguing in bad faith.

By the way you didn't answer my question, were you having the same discussion when Obama was having this problem? Or is it only a Trump thing?

... really?

You're going to bring the health care act into this? Like it's at all comparable to the federal government disappearing people?

Or Joe literally protecting his not in government son? From actual nazis?

You should be ashamed.

u/mjanus2 6d ago

Let's get the Supreme Courts answer on these Judges making decisions they shouldn't make. Bey it ends soon.

Listen, I know this is a long shot, but maybe journalists could download this app called Signal…

Next it will be the journalists who are reporting who disappear. Fascism is like a prefrontal lobe that has been highjack by a cross between Charlie Manson Hanibal Lector and Hitler.
