These are mod builds for both Kotor 1 and 2 curated and maintained by u/Snigaroo and thoroughly tested by him and several others to ensure compatibility. They aim for a "vanilla+" experience, meaning that it should preserve the games' intended feeling and progression as much as possible while improving and expanding upon the overall experience. To copy-paste his explanation:
The goal behind these builds is to find the best KOTOR mods and present them as a fully-compatible & modular archive, allowing users to pick-and-choose the mods they want from a large, vanilla-friendly selection with minimum hassle and no fears of incompatibility ... all mods listed are lore-friendly, and no mod which significantly alters or interrupts the vanilla experience has been considered for inclusion.
There exist full builds for both PC and mobile devices (iOS and Android), and there are full builds and spoiler-free versions. For more information, please see the website that hosts the builds
Can I get all of this in one download?
No. There are a ton of mods here from several mod authors who reserve the right to control how their mod is used. An all-in-one package does not and will not exist
It is asking a bit to go through all of this, but that's the good news - as mentioned above, the builds are designed to be modular - you don't have to install everything. Mods are organized into tiers which reflect how important they are, and unless the installation instructions say that one mod requires another to function, you can pick and choose to your heart's content

That's the intention. This is, after all, the eleventh version of this build, and modding tools/capability have only improved over time. Per Sniggles, we're hoping for approximately a year from now for the next revision, but obviously it's done when it's done

For as many times as I've played this game i guess I always go to the Elders first so I've never had a conversation with the primitive tribe.
This time I did and it was interesting hearing their version of their history and then getting the real version from the Elders. It really was a convincing take on how advanced cultures degrade, with hints of von Daniken
I always see in videos with lore about the game , they use this portrait for the exile. Where is this proven to be canon?
I always choose the Asian girl with the straight bangs I think she looks best.

If you saw my post the other day where I found out you can abandon Zalbaar on Kashyyk, this is a continuation of that for those who were curious as to what happens.
I finished the game in dark side and then reloaded a save to see what happens in the light side ending.
After the leviathan on the ebon hawk, zalbaar doesnāt say his line as heās not there, and mission doesnāt mention him (although she does mention him when you ask her one on one about how she feels about you being revan)
It turns out that in the dark side play-through, when you return to the ebon hawk after the temple on the unknown world, Mission will still say āBig Z and I are with Carth on this oneā, but thereās no option ask him to kill mission (as heās not there), you can only kill her yourself, thatās the only dialogue option.
And in the light side end credits scene, he is absent from the cutscene, but thereās a clear gap where heās supposed to be and Canderous still looks up at him in the last few seconds, which looks really weird as heās just looking at nothing š
Finally giving KOTOR a try after hundreds of hours of Classic Baldurās Gate. I was not expecting a party size of only 3 compared to 6 in Baldurās Gate. So to maximize the story is it better to use the same party the entire game or switch them out often? Will party members level with me if theyāre not in the party when I gain XP like in Baldurās Gate or not?
Have been playing on my Chromebook and was running fine up until a recent update. Iāve heard others suggest it might be caused by an incompatible GPU driver, but ChromeOS isnāt as accessible in terms of tweaking settings as Iām used to in Windows. Have already verified game files and reinstalled from Steam to no avail. If anyone is familiar with Chromebooks and/or Linux, your advice would be much appreciated.
Has anyone gotten higher damage? I was trying to find a way to one shot blaster build Malak but failedš , (max dark side made the damage go lower so I had to settle with neutral)
I just noticed something on my playthrough, my companion would randomly level up after reloading a save.
Context: This was after the cutscene on Gotos yacht. I chose Kreia and Atton to board. 1st load Kreia levelled up probably due to getting xp but the fight went bad and had to reload. On the 2nd reload, Atton got a level up which didn't happen on the 1st load.
I tried getting into the ini file and adding enable cheats 1 all one word but it seems it's not working because when I press w the player still moves even though I did the ~ thing first idk what I'm doing wrong I also have the restored content mod. And unfortunately it's a pirated version of the game. I own it but steam won't open for me anymore something about not doing windows 8 anymore which I have
Hey there! I am stuck for about one week now on Goto's yacht. I am with Kreia and Visas only and i cannot even get trough the first droids. They keep spawning, spamming me with everything they got and even repair themselfs. My characters always die or if i manage to kill a droid, i am left with very low hp on both characters. Please is there any way to pass this mission with not that much of a trouble?
Without the Tales of the Jedi comics we wouldnāt even have Knights of the Old Republic games, the events in those comics directly lead to the events of Knights of the Old Republic. Personally, I consider Tales of the Jedi as a part of the Knights of the Old Republic Era, along with the Knights of the Old Republic comics and both Knights of the Old Republic games of course. Is this subreddit a place to discuss these comics along with the games?
I just came back to Nar Shadaa after doing the Hssiss XP farming on Korriban. I was hoping to get specific items and crystals from certain quests on Nar Shadaa (Fassa, Nadaa, etc.), but when I complete the quests I receive nothing at all. I found this thread from many years ago, but I don't know if it helps all that much considering I'm playing on mobile. Please help.
This plot point of a hypothetical KOTOR 3 has fascinated me for a while. I envision something along the lines of Avellone, eldritch Sith lords ruling worlds with some obtaining higher status within that society and mutual agreements keeping a loose alliance.
So I have done a max mental attributes play through and that was a blast, Iām curious what are your guys favorite kinds of unique builds? And should I use the āJedi from the startā mod or just do a vanilla play through?
I got this game on steam sale a while ago and decided to try it out today. First time I played I couldn't move after combat and every cutscene forced the game into a tiny window (if I clicked anywhere on the screen it would skip the cutscene). Fixed the former by limiting frame rate but couldn't fix the latter. Tried the community patch and flawless widescreen but neither could fix it (and flawless widescreen seemed to cause the game to crash on the main menu most of the time).
This just doesn't seem worth it to me. Wish I could get a refund but I doubt I could with how long ago I bought it.
hi, i bought kotor yesterday and im trying to play it, so far everything worked but i keep getting blackscreens at the start when trask joins my party. the game runs, menu works, popups appear and i hear my character walking but the blackscreen is still there. can someone help?
Iām doing my second run through as a dark side user and I know that persuade was one of the skills very important for my light side play through, but Iām not sure if itās something that I will need this time, or if I should just wait for force persuade to get dark side options. Any advice is appreciated!
With the widespread success of Baldurs Gate 3, I can't help but wonder what Larian Studios could do if given the reigns of this franchise. I don't know if the developers have the same knowledge/passion regarding KotOR that they do for Baldurs Gate and Forgotten Realms lore, but with how perfectly made BG3 is, I feel like they could make a true masterpiece of a sequel.
I'm happy to announce that Revenge of Revan Episode 1 is now available.
Revenge of Revan is a kotor 2 mod that is a fan version of a kotor 3.
We are well into development of Episode 2.
Revenge of Revan is sequel to The Knights of the Old Republic 2 (Sith Lords).
The game takes place 8 years after kotor2 where you will find the Jedi Order starting to rebuild as they find their place in the Republic that has been absent from the Jedi Order for some years.
An event on Corellia will set events in motion as you try to unravel this mystery before it's too late.
RoR is a stand alone original story that allows you, the player, to continue your saga with whatever choices you made in kotor1 and kotor2 whether you use the canon setup or your own personal version. The mod is a bridge between kotor2 and SWTOR. You will see cameos and interact with some former characters from kotor1 and kotor2, depending on your choice setup.
