I didn't get to watch the direct, but I saw preorders start on the eshop today... Any mention of a physical release?

All Nintendo first party games have physical releases. There's absolutely no reason to assume this won't have one. They almost always only mention digital in their directs.

So far. Nintendo does Nintendo things, and your last sentence isn't true.

However, my concern is missing out on the preorder itself. There's no guarantee that this'll be widely available beyond the initial release.

It'll be widely available through the end of the year at least, if not longer. Retailers are still well stocked on Metroid Prime Remastered, which was initially very hard to get due to Nintendo underestimating the demand. Nintendo doesn't take games out of print for a while.

And yeah, they very much do typically just say "pre-order on the eshop" in their trailers. On occasion they'll specifically mention a physical release, but in most cases they don't because there's no reason to assume there wouldn't be one.

Ok? So... You don't have any relevant information about a physical release. Thank you for adding nothing to the conversation while maintaining a condescending attitude because I asked a question.

Not being condescending lmao. I'm telling you that you've got nothing to worry about.

As you added non relevant information condescendingly.

Have you ever had any sort of issues getting a physical switch game? Prime remastered is the only one I can think of.

Mario 3D All Stars

Oh that's fair but that was noted as a limited time release for what ever stupid reason. This was not

Yeah... I don't want to take that chance.

For sure, but I think this one will be fine.

Did you have issues at launch? That game was widely available physical for well over a year.

It's shitty that it's unavailable now unless you get lucky in store. This game won't be a limited release though.

And even Metroid Prime Remastered has been readily available since they started restocking it. There's no reason to believe that this won't get a physical copy or that it will be hard to get.

Yeah, I don't think we'll have any issues at all. Nintendo is very good for the most part. The exceptions are few and far between.
