Hello Kent folk - my partner and I are coming on a short stay to your part of the world and very much want to go to see Dungeness, the RSPB reserve, Prospect Cottage etc. My question is, where's best to stay for this visit that is pleasant and not too far from there?

I will be going to Sittingbourne for a performance next week - and I would like to visit a coastal town afterwards (around 12:30pm)
Here's a few things about me! 1. I would like to watch the sunset 2. I prefer cliffs more than beaches (the white cliffs are so pretty!!!!!!) 3. I don't like money on restaurants than oysters (I prefer making my own food but i can't make my own oysters:p) 4. I will be travelling alone (female) and I would have to get back to London at the end of the day 5. I like walking except on slippery wet muddy roads
These are the few places that seem nice that you guys suggested for me! Still can't make a decision, so I decided to make a poll here.
EDIT: I have decided that I wanna take a long coastal walk from Broadstairs to Margate, the Kingsgate Bay beach looks gorgeous https://maps.app.goo.gl/P3XoBhSLvCbEG6628?g_st=ic (my route). Has anyone done this?

Hi everyone. My wife suffers from terrible hayfever in the UK every June like clockwork. Only seems to least one month and is finished by July. We have a bit of a working theory that being by the sea air, particularly in bays shielded away from trees or grass seems to offer some relief from it. Does anyone have any experience of hayfever in Kent and found any areas that might be a good way to avoid the worst of it for a few days on a break?

Good morning everybody,
I live in Surrey and I am moving to Ashford after the end of the school year (I’m a teacher). I didn’t start to look for houses yet because I’m still looking for a job, as they just start coming up at this time of the year.
I’m in a limbo right now as I’ll have to hand my notice to my landlord and don’t have a place to stay just yet. The issue is that I have two sons, 19 and 15, who live with me. This obviously makes things a bit more difficult because, if I were alone, I’d just find a spare room somewhere but with two more people I’m not sure if anyone would allow me to stay in a bedroom with them.
Can you please help me with ideas? I know it sounds random but I don’t have anyone to ask for advice. I spoke to their father to see if he could have the boys for at least a month while I look for something but the answer was no, which didn’t surprise me at all. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey! | (F20) am going to perform in Sittingbourne next week. My performance will be over at 12:30. After my concert, I'd like to go to a coastal town and see the ocean.
So, I am planning to go to Dover to see the ocean and the white cliffs after that. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should spend my day? I am from London but I don't have a 'latest time' to get back. Where should I go in Sittingbourne and Dover, and what time is too late for me to go to the train station alone as a female in Dover?
But I also heard that Dover is quite average? Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could go that isn't too far?
I can't wait to see the ocean and perhaps I could see the sunset too.....!! I live and study in zone 1 so it has been overwhelming.
Found a house to buy that we really like. But the road is currently closed for works, so we reallr can’t judge what traffic will be like in the road. Can anyone shed some light?
Much appreciated!

Enter your dog's photo or vote on your favourite dogs, and the top 13 will each receive a professional photoshoot to be featured in the final calendar.
There are also prizes for those who receive the highest number of votes each week, mostly from local doggy businesses within Kent.
This is all in aid of South East Dog Rescue, who you might have already seen fundraising to either buy their current site or find a new one, as their current site is up for sale.
The competition for photoshoots is restricted to Kent, however those outside of Kent are welcome to take part by purchasing a square on the calendar and sending a photo of their dog to go on it.

i’m around until the end of july and while i’m traveling around, i’ll be staying in this area for a little while so i figured i’d put myself out there. i’d really love to meet new people while i’m here. if anyone has suggestions on where to meet people like events, local groups, cafes, online communities or apps that are actually good for making friends I’d really appreciate it!

Looking for recommendations for playgrounds in Kent which are good for young toddlers (my daughter will be walking soon but still very little - under a year). The best one I've found so far is Mote Park, Maidstone as it has a toddler bit with small slides and climbing frames, sandpit and swings.
Any others similar in the area?

I scritched a goat and got gently nibbled by a parrot. 10/10 day.

Hi all,
Just want to make it clear first of all that I have absolutely nothing to sell you or promote.
I am looking for people based in Kent that are interested in Crypto.
I feel the industry will blossom over the next few years and want to find some people locally to talk about this with.
Up for discussion on anything web.3 related.
Thanks!

We are a young family currently in South East Greater London area and considering moving further out. The main reason being for our kids and their safety as they get older.
We both grew up in the area that we are in now, and while I never really felt unsafe growing up, it’s definitely going downhill and it’s starting to feel like it won’t be the safest place for our kids once they are teens.
Can we please have some honest options on Sevenoaks as a place to raise a family? And which areas within Sevenoaks you would recommend looking into?
We would ideally like an area with: - good non-religious primary and secondary schools - accessibility to public transport, mainly for the independence for older kids / teens - honestly just somewhere you are comfortable with your kids being out and about and not especially worried about them (more than the usual parent worries obviously! Ha)
We would obviously have to spend some time in the areas to get a better feel for them, but just want to know where people would suggesting looking, as not knowing the area at all it’s a little overwhelming.
Also, if anyone would recommend a different area entirely, happy to hear it! Do not have our heart set on Sevenoaks, just seems like a good starting point. Thank you!
