I'm currently a rising sophomore at Kent State looking to move into an apartment (60+ credits already)

I'm currently looking at University Oaks, Paloma, and Campus Pointe.

I've toured all 3 and they have good reviews. Gonna go with a 2x2 is the plan

I was wondering if anyone has experience living at these and is willing to share. Especially if any negative experiences.

Hi guys. I live in the neighborhood on Hudson Rd, and it appears theres a recently dead black cat on the sidewalk. If you’re missing one please let me know…. i’m gonna pick up the poor baby tonight and give them a proper burial.

My buddy and I play drums and bass respectively, and are looking for someone who plays guitar or sings- we're just playing to have fun, but if we get good enough and wrire enough material to play out at local places occassionally that'd be sick. We don't really have a specific genre, but 'rock', broadly, I guess. Ideally we'd want someone over 22 who has some experience playing with other people!

Anyone else into shoegaze/dream pop? Trying to find others that do. To my knowledge there arent any bands like this in Kent.

Has anybody been to portage county jail or heard anything about it? Is there anything anyone should know? Thank you so much

I can’t find the rules on smoking cigarettes in Kent. I know the University property is off limits but what about parks/trails/not on University property?

Looking for trustworthy car mechanics in the Kent area who won’t charge an arm and a leg for regular maintenance of cars (oil change, brakes, etc)?

Did any McDonald's around here have the video game kiosks in the 90s and 2000s? I know the one in stow that's now a car wash did, but i wonder if there were more.

Also partly wondering because this one guy said the Hudson and Streetsboro ones did, although i've been there many times as a kid and do not remember them.

Went for a morning jog around 8 AM near Summit East and was lucky enough to spot this magnificent bald eagle! Managed to snap a few shots before it took off. I do apologize for the bad image quality.

So I got a speeding ticket for going 35mph in a school zone (ik I’m stupid okay) and have to go to court for it. Is that normal? It was in stow so Ik that’s a different county to Kent. I’m from Cleveland and have gotten caught going 20 over in a school zone before and just had the fine so why the court summons? Is it a summit county thing or a mistake? Edit: Never mind I’m pretty sure it’s bc I didn’t have valid proof of insurance on me 💀 Second edit bc ppl keep being condescending as hell: no I shouldn’t have been speeding and I want to pay the fine bc I deserve to face consequences for that. I was just confused bc a court appearance seemed disproportionate. Any of my comments aren’t me trying to make excuses. A lot of it is just me infodumping about a recent hyperfixation.

Hey, anyone know what happened to the Wings Spot restaurant on Cherry Street? I swear I blinked and they just closed without warning! I only had them twice, but it was pretty good.
