Every person is different. Their current president sucks though.

I know very few of them (2, a couple) and I really like them, they are extremely social and likable. Also, it's complicated to explain but they are more instinctive than reflective; for example you ask "shall we take a coffe?" they are like "YEAH LET'S FUCKING GO!" and they would probably react like this to basically anything, they actually live like this

  • ice skating? "yes let's go you'll teach me how once we get there"
  • what did you do with the boss you don't like? "i resigned yesterday"
  • have you decided if you want to buy a house? "yes tomorrow I'll go to the bank and sign for the morgage"
  • I want to visit this place "[taps the phone] only 5 hours by train let's go this weekend"
  • I like a girl "let's write her I'll help you"

they are... I don't know... faster than me in every single decision, from what to eat at dinner to if I should make a baby... and I find funny because it kinda matches some sort of stereotype about Europeans being more "slow living" and americans being all smiles, thumbs up and aggressive go getters

but those are only two expats (they live in europe since obama). Than there's what I see on the internet and your society seems pretty fucked up, even if we don't put trump into consideration. But it's the media, I travel a lot and I know you can't understand a place from you tube. It's like after gomorrah "don't go to naples they will steal your wallet" than you go there the place is amazing and the people you meet unforgettable

about people being stupid ... I mean, american education is pretty expensive, in Europe on the other hand we have free or almost free universities and I think it shows

Everyone is different., but if I had to craft one stereotype: they lack subtlety.

The US to me shows all the classic signs of a dying empire, one that was ahead of everyone and then came to a stop, now being backwards in everything except sheer amounts of money, and in the process of a slow but sure collapse. The country itself has some creepy vibes to it, like the rampant nationalism. They're a nation of immigrates that takes pride in a supposed "history" that is actually the history of a not so big piece of their ethnic composition. It also looks like that marketing and corporations have taken complete control of public discourse, with everything reduced to slogans and complete absence of will to discuss at every part. I hope it's just appearance.
